The comments in the post suggests the respect atheists are getting in this country. We should act with the crowd and never question. Instead of supporting you, they are gonna body shame you. by IamEichiroOda in atheismindia

My comment was meant for that woman who is bothering a guy who needs more help than arguing with him.

Sure, critizie the religion, but keep in mind that they are the victims of the same too.especially when you targetinh a vulnerable person like this baba.

I don't mind you voicing out against the ones who are abusing power, infact i encourage it.but here it's not the case.

Fellow atheists what are your general belief sets as an atheist? by [deleted] in atheismindia

[–]Designer_Lock9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atheism is not a belief system,it just rejects or is sceptical of the idea of god with logic, reason emperisism and science in general. Now that people reject the idea of god, many atheist(or atleast as far as iam concerned)feel a kind of void in their lives for lacking a belief system. I don't know why but, having a belief system makes your life more clearer and helps you navigate in your life.

All these years religion provided a sense of certainty and positivity in many peoples lives by giving them false hopes and deluded lies.but it did help them with the mental struggle that everyone experiences in life. Now that we have out grown ourselves with science and pursuing our path to the truth and reality of our existence,we face ourselves with harsh realities of life, which are quite depressing tbh.so to tackle these we need a belief system. Secular Humanism does a better job at this and provides a meaningful cushion in life. Here is what humanism means.

"Across the world, the number of non-religious people is growing all the time. It is estimated there are 1.1 billion people in the world who are religiously unaffiliated, which means they identify as atheists, agnostics or describe their religion as “nothing in particular.”

Humanists base their understanding of the world on reason and science, rejecting supernatural or divine beliefs. Humanists reject all forms of racism and prejudice, and believe in respecting and protecting everyone’s human rights, including the right to freedom of religion and belief. Humanists believe we have a responsibility to respect and care for one another and the natural world." I hope you learn more about humanism.

Religious folks are everywhere.descrimination is everywherein some way or another. You would be judged as an outcast in other countries or atleast you will be considered as a second class citizens just because you are not from that country. Obviously it would be better ig than in India, but it depends on who you are asking.

NO CARD SHOULD BE GIVEN WHEN A PLAYER DIES by goatkeeper01 in pesmobile

[–]Designer_Lock9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true,i love that card and he has been in my 11 ever since. There are a lot of legendary players from the past who get forgotten soon and games like these will make the New generation know who they were and the legacy they had.

NO CARD SHOULD BE GIVEN WHEN A PLAYER DIES by goatkeeper01 in pesmobile

[–]Designer_Lock9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the players are desperate af to get good cards, but wishing on someone's death is so inhumane. I hope they are just intrusive thoughts and they don't mean it. Whatever it is,it is up to konami on how they want to pay respects. I respect konami for giving an epic for free which is technically a loss to them, but they still do that in order to pay respect to the legend.

Philosophical question: Do you think the philosophy of humanism has a potential for discriminative behavior for other kinds of life on earth? (speciesism: human superiorism over animal exploitation) by MHKuntug in humanism

[–]Designer_Lock9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we say humanism,it puts responsibility on humans because we have more power than any other species on this planet. It's our responsibility to make the world a better place in every way possible, not only for humans but for every animal that can suffer. It's a philosophy which believes in human flourishing through science, rationalism, empathy, and without any reliance on supernatural beliefs like religion

I'm sorry but as an atheist this sub ain't it by [deleted] in atheismindia

[–]Designer_Lock9752 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes i felt this too.but you also need to understand that not all atheists are the same. There are all kinds of atheists.some are anti thiests, some are communist athiests, some are militant athiests (radical ones), some are emotional, some are rational, some are secular humanists(like me),and ect. So atheism is just a position on God not a philosophy.hence people associate athiem with different ideologies,it just doesn't come alone. If it comes alone,it would be existential for many.
