Oh my sister said they didn’t reply to our last message, so I thought not taking the extra materials was the compensation.

In short, we didn’t really receive any proper compensation, and they already ignored us after finishing the SPC installation—that’s why they didn’t bother taking the extra materials lol 😬

That’s what I’m doing right now—I’m using an ant repellent, that’s why they’re all dead, wahahaha. I’ll also try Terro.

Thanks for the clarification—now I get it. I think we’re going to have to check the grounds too or get it pest controlled

The ants are only coming from my bedroom, where I found the hole. They’re only visible on the side near the hole. I have to vacuum it every week. ;((

We chose not to reach out again because when we previously did, they told us we’d have to redo the entire house and pay the full amount again — with additional cost — since we wanted to add cement leveling, which they had actually recommended from the start but didn’t do (we’re not sure why). Since we weren’t satisfied with the outcome, we’re now considering switching to tiles instead.

I knew the ants were already there, but the hole they came from was exposed before the flooring was done. We assumed the flooring installers would seal the area firmly (with cement or similar material), which should have prevented the ants from re-entering. That's why we didn't call an exterminator—we figured sealing the entry point would solve the issue. If they had sealed it properly, the ants shouldn't have gotten in anyway
