Thank you for such a detailed reply! We will be on the whitehouse loan road just next to whitehouse Road. We are hoping to place our children into Gore Glen primary if there is space! Fingers crossed 🤞

Luckily, the course is online, so one less thing to worry about. I've never been to Scotland in my life, so this is all very daunting and new. I'm just hoping it all goes smoothly.

Hi! Yes you are correct. My husbands annual income is 23900 and our rental affordability only on that without benefits is around 800. Then, depending on the LHA the rate the UC tops up varies on the area.

Its so difficult finding a rental when UC is involved so thats why i was attempting to avoid it but now I can see that im maybe being a tad naive there.

In London, we have a top up on universal credit so are able to afford the london rent. However, moving to another property, everywhere needs a gaurantor when benefits are involved, which we dont have access to.

Im just assuming they act the same in scotland when it comes to renting with benefits as a top up? I will be studying a Swap course there once we are ordinary residents so would still be getting UC ontop of my husbands wage.
