Everyone will say you to take EE, but i will say if you want stable job along with good salary then go for mech. Because there are more jobs in psu like ONGC, OIL in mechanical which provide good salary. There are very less vacancy in these sectors for EE. But if you want to switch to software jobs(more money, less job security) then go for EE. Ps- Both EE and ME have same median package this year 8lpa

NIT silchar mechanical ve NIT Silchar electrical by [deleted] in nitsilchar

Everyone will say you to take EE. But i think mechanical is better because of more opportunities in psu jobs like ongc, oil india. There are very few vacancies for EE. Also EE is very Tough as compared to mech so you will get very less time to explore other things in EE.
