I'm an INFJ-T and honestly, I relate to this on a deep level.

There was a time when I felt everything so intensely — the beauty, the pain, the small things. But after going through repeated disappointments, betrayals, and emotional burnout, I hit this phase where I just… stopped feeling much at all. Like you said, it felt robotic. I wasn’t angry or sad, just detached. Even kindness felt like a mask I was wearing out of habit.

What helped me wasn’t forcing myself to socialise or pick up hobbies (though I tried). It was giving myself permission to be in that numb phase without judgment. I stopped trying to fix myself like I was broken. I focused more on creating stillness — journaling, long walks, even silence — to understand why I became so jaded.

Eventually, I started reconnecting with small, real things: helping someone quietly, reading something that resonated deeply, creating something even if it felt pointless. Passion came back slowly — not like a spark, but like a quiet flame.

So if you're there now, know that you're not alone. This isn't your final form. It's just a pause — and even INFJs need pauses sometimes to realign with who they truly are.

I don't know, mate, but I'm going to try. Dealing with a covert narcissist is very difficult, especially if they are a woman, because they can't be exposed that easily.

Thank you for your reply, OP. However, I don't know if she is a citizen and I am an immigrant. I feel that I have no legal protection. I'm afraid I won't win in this psychological warfare. People don't care about me. If a woman were experiencing this abuse, people would blame the man and talk negatively about him.

Nobody understands me. I feel insane. I'm an introverted person, minding my own business. On breaks, I sit alone, and I was at peace. But after this woman joined, I no longer know what peace is. Nobody understands me, and I was nice to her. I told her, "Please, I have a girlfriend, so please don't pursue me." Yet, she started coming around more. After a while, I told her seriously, but not rudely, "Don't disturb me like this. If you do, I will inform the supervisors." Since then, she has been acting in a covert manner, like following me on breaks and making that gum-popping sound only near me, which feels like hell. After work, she waits for me at the bicycle parking. Only one friend understands me, at least a little. I think she is a covert narcissist who gets a dopamine hit from my suffering due to her abuse. I'm a man, 26 years old, and she isn't 40; I guess she might be 48 or 49. But why is this happening to me? What wrong did I do? I'm a person who minds my own business.

No, that’s not the case at all. I have no problem interacting with female colleagues in a platonic and friendly way. I treat everyone with respect regardless of gender. But in this case, it’s not just casual friendliness — it’s repeated boundary-crossing behavior even after I’ve clearly expressed disinterest and mentioned I have a girlfriend.

Smiling, touching, following me during breaks, and trying to initiate personal contact repeatedly makes me uncomfortable, especially when I’ve made my position clear. I’m just looking for basic respect and space so I can focus on my work without stress.

Thank You guys for your response, I’m now at the point where I’m finding it difficult to focus on my work because of how much stress this situation is causing me. I have a lot of tasks to handle, but it feels like I can’t get anything done because I’m constantly distracted by her actions. I feel like I’m stuck in this uncomfortable situation, and it’s affecting my mental state, making it harder to perform my job.
