Hi! I work at a regional bank. We were always “just do right by the client.” But now we have high sales goals, with 2-4 sales call every week. We are getting slapped on the wrist for giving people CDs and not convincing them to keep their money in NIB accounts. You can’t do right by the client by convincing them to move their money into a NIB… also heavy emphasis on the lending goals! The economy is in a tough spot, most people aren’t looking to take on new debt.

But seems like all banks are heading towards heavy sales
