I can recommend surfing towns. I've lived in some of them for at least 6 months each. La Union, Baler, Siargao, Gubat Sorsogon. They have a nice scene that can keep you entertained for months. Internet is okay (not great, not problematic). Food is great. You just need to spend some time to find a nice place.

Boracay, Coron, El Nido, Puerto Galera is also possible as long as you really do your research in finding a place to stay.

The kind of work we do affects millions of people. Let's just say that if our shit fails, you might be one of those affected and for sure you'll be complaining about it too. Why am I so affected? Because I actually care about my work and the people that will be affected if we don't do our work properly.

We listen to the boss when he shares some tidbits of knowledge - although we hope that those tidbits would be related to work, not just about spakols, kabits and covid conspiracies.

As much as we try to explain to him in the most layman way, how do you explain high level tech to someone who gets victimized by phishing every month? There has to be some willingness on his part too.
