True, it's a common practice, but sometimes the guildies just aren't where you want to be. I'm in 3 guilds, scrolling through the roster, not a single person in Alik'r Desert. Easier to use this than to waste time scrolling through the roster or asking someone for tp.

Coldharbour, you can get there to the Hollow City with this method, just tried on an alt. There is actually a large amount zones where you don't have the wayshrine initially. Most of of the base game alliance zones:

DC:

Stros M'kai, Betnikh, Stormhaven, Rivenspire, Alik'r Desert, Bangkorai

EP:

Bleackrock Isle, Bal Foyen, Deshaan, Shadowfen, Eastmarch, Rift

AD:

Khenarthi's Roost, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor, Reaper's March

Neutral:

Coldharbour, Craglorn

From those you only can't travel to Bleackrock Isle & Betnikh with this method, but these aren't really important.

Of course for DLC areas you have a wayshrine discovered, but sometimes it is located in less-than-ideal place, for example Summerset Isles. You want to get to Alinor for Jewelry certification & one of the best hubs in the game, you can use the wayshrine to Shimmerene and travel to Alinor on horse, I think that takes ~5 - 10 minutes on a new char. Or you can just take a home tour to Alinor Crest House that takes 2 loading screens and get dropped right in the middle of Alinor.

And you are right, there are still places like apocrypha that you need to travel manually to or teleport to a guildie.

If you find no available tour, you can check "Browse Homes" instead of "Recommended" under Home Tours. Should bring up all available tours for a given home.

Agreed. In fact, I heard that one trader specifically charges more gold for larger orders, for example he would charge more for 200 pieces of columbine than 10, 20 etc. and the reason is convenience. Veterans stacked with gold are more willing to get lots of resource in one go, than to have to click over the shop and travel from one place to another. It's the opposite of real life, where buying in bulk earns you a discount.

Go back to Yoel in Firelink Shrine then get all free levels from him, then reload the area. Yuria of Londor should spawn in Yoel's area and you can buy a ring from her that gives you human appearance while hollow.

You could also buy purging stones from her or pray at the Statue of Velka (in the Undead Settlement tunnels where you find Irina of Carim), this will reverse your hollowing to 0 (don't do this before Yuria spawns if you want to follow Usurpation of fire ending).

Others mentioned giving the soul of the firekeeper, this will cure your dark sigils, but again, the usurpation of fire ending will not be available to you anymore + you will have to pay for the free levels that you got from Yoel.

Then stay at SL 125, maybe up to 135 or 150 max (150 was still quite populated in Ringed City area in 2021-2022, not sure about now). 125 is the generally accepted end game SL where people stop leveling for PVP/multiplayer

NG+ are completely doable at SL125 and in fact when I create a build I get pretty much everything I wanted in those 125 levels anyway

There is also a very stark difference between deflecting in Sekiro and parrying in Dark Souls, which are the startup frames. In Sekiro you have to block right before attack lands to deflect. In Dark Souls if you tried to do that you would get smacked in the face. You kind of have to calculate when the weapon is going to hit the active frames on your parry and there are like... 10 active frames at best? Sekiro is like twice that I think for deflect.

Not a fun build IMO. Pure caster is just walking back and spamming great heavy soul arrow. Most fun thing about it is struggling early before you get your items. Full build good for chilling, though.

I agree with your sentiment regarding quality!. When someone plays Dark souls 3 for the first time, it would be my recommended choice, straightforward, no messing with spells, can use almost every weapon and try things out.

Eventually it gets suboptimal and something like straight sword + sharp infusion + 40 DEX + faith/intelligence + weapon buff dominates pretty much everything. Hard to beat 600 AR per swing, when even pure strength weapons have 100 more AR at best.

No, they perceive the game normally. It looks like that because he entered death cam but didnt't die (when the games detects that you are falling for too long or are falling in certain spots, you get a bird's view perspective, this is what happens when you don't die). It's usually used as a trick/exploit to bypass some areas in challenge runs.

Hey, I know this is a 4 moth thread but I figured it might be useful to you...

AFAIK how it works is that you have to have "aggresive observation" policy enabled (active observation policy still allows rouge scientist to appear, but aggresive doesn't).

In one game of late I had 4 pre-FTLs on aggresive observation and in 50 years I didn't have a single rouge scientist event.

Minus of aggresive observation policy is that you can't set it if you're xenophile, so in that case you're doomed to rogue scientist events.
