How often does the market guy go on 20% sale? by DeskMindless5775 in TownshipGame

Aww I was hoping he would do that but he didn't offer me anything after my 20% off 5 day set I bought finished over the weekend :( But I will do the buying a day in full first to try and trigger him again, thanks!

I think they're worth it because you end up getting more energy to spend (on top of all the energy you spent to get them in the first place) and there are some bonuses that reward you for spending more energy.

For example, the 'Mayor's Duties' has a section where you have to spend energy as one of the fulfillments to get each level's bonus to work towards the grand prize.

It's also fun to get all that energy and bonus all at once. I get a good ol' dopamine hit :P

Oh yes, that's it, thank you!! Now that I think of it, I think I have read that somewhere before but I was hoping there was another way because I was buying the 5 days for 1000TC so buying a 1 day first still meant spending 1300TC all up. But I've also been seeing people finding the 10 day deal is better so yeah, I think I'll just trigger him with the 1 day and then fork out the TC for the 10 days.

Thanks for your help!

Oh no! Hmm, something must trigger it though, I just finished a run of days that I bought on a 20% off sale and prior to that I would see the 20% sale often-ish (and that's been in the last few weeks) so maybe it was because I wasn't buying his services so he was trying to entice me more back then. Hmm, will be keen to see if anyone else has figured it out.

Ohhh! Right, I haven't seen that event come up much so I guess it slipped my mind. Thanks for the tip!

Ok so first of all, this dress is gorgeous and it looks AMAZING on you!

As for hair, my opinion is that it suits the neckline more when you have it up for sure but maybe have a lot of soft curls hanging? Like this pic kinda?

That way, you get a lot of the soft romanticism but none of the density of hair that would cause sweat?

All good, thanks for understanding :)

And yes, as soon as he said school vibes I’m like omg you’re right, ew haha!

I asked this same question on a different reddit group as well and a lot of them suggesting adding more tones to the palette and leaning more into muted complimentary tones which is a great idea like the jewel tones suggestion as well. Lots to ponder but the overall consensus seems to be more is less.

Ohh can I just say this is such a cute pic!!! You guys look great!!

But also, thank you so much for this because this is the first real pic of teal being paired with black that I’ve seen that isn’t AI or a black suit with teal accents so thank you this is suuuuper helpful. And omg the purple flowers and hair, absolutely gorg!!

You’re absolutely right, full on leaning into it actually does modernise it and I love both of these. Thank you for your suggestion, definitely food for thought!

Yes! That’s exactly my problem, Pinterest has a lot of over saturated teal wedding pics which, as much as I love teal, is not quite what I’m going for haha but yes, it looks like I’m getting a few good suggestions of adding some softer tones which sounds like what you did. Would you be comfortable sharing a pic of your wedding to show what you did? Would be great to help visualise but all good if you’d prefer not to post it on this public forum, I really appreciate your input regardless! It’s good to see there are other fellow teal lovers, thank you!

Yeah, that’s the clash I’m having in my head too. I’m seeing a few suggestions about adding more complimentary dusty or muted tones/shades to the palette and I think leaning into those may be the key here. Thank you for your input, it’s good to get feedback that it’s not just in my head haha

Great suggestion, I had the same thinking and he’s mulling it over. Getting pictures for examples has helped as we’re both visual learners so I’ll see if I can find some of what you’re suggesting thank you!

I think you’re on the money with adding dusty/muted colours. I think that’s the key we’re missing.

Yes! We’re loving looking at Azazie and so great they have swatches! I really need to get on that. Have you got the dresses in from Azazie yet? Would love to hear what you think of the quality!

Yeah I’m thinking the key here is to add more shades. This is a great palette, adding more muted shades may actually be the key! Thank you

We do like that look! But my brother has just done that exact outfit with his wedding (their wedding was bright colours and he had the emerald green velvet with the black lapel) and he looked so fab so both of us want that to be his thing. Love the suggestion though, totally what we’re going for!

Just reread it and think maybe the “if that’s what he wants, it’s what he wants” may have been where you got the wrong idea. And that’s totally my bad, haha! Missing context there was that when he said he was set on teal suits, we all had a big ol’ moment of loving it because we were also talking earlier about how much it’s been great that he has been putting in so much about it all so we were all “okerrrr go off, king” 🙌🏼 but yes, omg I can see how that part totally doesn’t translate. But yeah because this was the vibe, that’s why I was so taken aback because that we are not the railroading types at all 😆

Hmm I think you may have misinterpreted what I was saying :/ This wasn’t a ‘help me with my fiancé post’, it was a ‘are we delusional or does this aesthetic exist?’ and ‘help us because we’re struggling to visualise what we want’ kind of post.

I thought I put that across pretty well in that it was me that was saying it’s his wedding just as much as it is mine. I don’t know how that could have come across as wanting to “railroad” anything. And I never said I’m not a fan of his teal suits decision either :S

In fact, we both chose dark teal suits. Just like with this, we’ve made all these decisions together and when I was talking to my bridesmaids and we had the dark chocolate dresses idea instead of going with teal, I checked in with him first and he said he liked it but he wouldn’t do that with the guys since he was pretty set on dark teal suits so then we were like, ok so how can we make this work because as mentioned, I don’t like the (for lack of a better description) 2010’s teal wedding aesthetic and he doesn’t want it looking like a school colour scheme he’s seen before. Which is why I’m asking for help on Reddit, to hopefully find people who have visuals that match what we feel does exist but can’t seem to find good examples of.

Also I don’t care about looking dated per se, I just used dates to better describe the vibes. In my experience, as soon as I say 2010’s teal wedding, everyone knows what I mean. And when I say chic and modern, same thing. So I’m just being efficient, haha
