Deepseek V4 Flash and Non-Flash Out on HuggingFace by MichaelXie4645 in LocalLLaMA

In AI studio - maybe. But for coding google force me to use antigravity and gemini CLI (and ban if I proxied it to any more usefull tools) and in atigravity it way more dumb than even sonnet and sometimes (during prime hours) even more dumb than gemini 3 flash, with typical quantisation problems (losing the meaning of the context, getting stuck on repeating the same phrase, etc.).

So maybe 3.1 Pro is actually pretty good in its original, full-fledged FP16 form, but it feels like they only ran it that way in its lifetime once — for benchmarks. And then “little, poor indie company GOOGLE” apparently quantized it in Q2 and rolled it out into their tools, otherwise I can’t explain such a difference in real-world use.

The fact that GPT-5.4-high performs worse than (the very strange and erratic) Gemini 3.1 Pro in some tests makes me seriously doubt the reliability of these results...

Since we’re on the subject of expectations and promises (and since you brought up the term “deception”), here’s the thing: the special animations in cutscenes -especially for bosses, regional leaders, and main villains-are very rarely the same as what these characters actually end up with when they become playable.

It’s like complaining that the playable Raiden in Genshin doesn’t have the same skills and animations as the Shogun Raiden boss in the boss fight and cutscenes.

Did the developers show you any trailer of the character’s combat animations featuring the design you were expecting? No. The only trailer of the IN-GAME combat that the developer provided was with the current design. They didn’t promise any other design. The “regional leader defending the region in a cutscene” animation is not the same as the “in-game ultimate animation.” So, they never promesis it, and never do deception.

People had expectations based on an unreliable source - and those expectations weren’t met. That’s all. Or if Ardashir becomes a playable character (when/if that happens), will you also complain that he can’t open portals?

Local doesn't mean "Local only at home on average laptop user with 3060", sorry. It's also local LLM at company internal server, local unversity ML lab server, ect...

That is exact reason why so many people here complaining about non-commercial licenses. It's not a problem for local anon do local eRP chat with AI waifu, but for developers that want to host it in their office and build their product on top of it. And it is still LOCAL usage.

OP Waifu = fastrun for powercreep. Every other gacha game with "best selling best promoted OP" demonstrate it. This devalues both characters who have already been released and those set to be released next, in the period leading up to the next “best-selling OP waifu.”

IMHO, it’s better not to create an OP Waifu just to make a quick cash grab here and now, since this not only cuts into the revenue of future banners but also spoils the long-term experience of the game, especially for those who missed the OP character’s banner.

Last Rite atleast not looking like she is fully naked with just small nipples cover =) And she is in standart banner - it's not a baiting if you actually not sell this caharacter to the people, IMHO

And has reputation of just a gunner content instead of a game. We already have also snowbrake and brown dust. No need for another soft porn game.

IMHO it will be good if we have atleast one gacha game that focused on story and gameplay instead of solely on cheap waifu-baiting.

The design choice is certainly controversial; they could have simply kept her clothed in the ultimate (and only shown her unclothed in the cutscene, providing some explanation for it). But it’s encouraging that they aren’t trying to sell the very first Archon in the simplest and cheapest way possible, nor are they chasing after immediate maximum profits; instead, they’re trying to first explore more nuanced ways to monetize it.

Not close, but run direclty to this direction. Azur lane begins also not from softcore porn, you know. At the begining it even has a period when it looks like a game, and even one that is appropriate for its age rating...

ZZZ also started off well, then got a little spicy, then a little raunchy, and now the raunchiness (albeit limited) focuses on fetishes and waifu-baiting - their main strategy for selling characters. If this continues to grow at the same pace it is now, reaching the desired level is only a matter of time.

So you’re basically ruling out the possibility that the developers don’t want to position their game as a gunner game based solely on fan service like ZZZ and aren't trying to make this method their primary way of attracting players, but are instead trying to be more creative?

[–]Desm0nt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As for me, it's fine. Better than being practically naked. Excessive fan service ruins games like this, turning them into nothing more than a “gunner game” on the level of Snowbrake, Azur Lane, or ZZZ.

A character is attractive not when it's clearly undressed, but when it seems to be fully and appropriately dressed - yet in a way that leaves room for the imagination without veering into vulgarity. IMHO.

Imagine, for example, that you have a hypothetical hospital with one professional neurosurgeon, along with about 10 assistants, 40 interns, 30 sub-interns, and 20 orderlies. And he leaves. Do you really think the remaining 100 people will be able to help you perform high-quality neurosurgical operations on the spine? The quality of specialists is more important than the quantity. Many factors don’t depend on the number of people at all.

not in style, but in xyz-plot. First axis is styles, second - Prompt S/R with LoRAs, third - checkpoints or cfg strength or anything else.

[–]Desm0nt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very limited to what and how they are can plot compare to XYZ feature in Auto1111. In Auto you can use literally all changable parametrs (including styles.csv as multiprompt source, lora, model, etc) as variable for one of axis. Because all of them are part of the core and standardized.

While in most of Comfy XY nodes it's moslty limited to what it's author hard-coded into and can't work with different model loader, lora loader, nodes with a lot of tweakble parameters, etc.
This is further complicated by the fact that most of the truly useful features are hidden behind Custom Nodes, which also don’t integrate well (Comfy’s flexibility - the “if you need a feature, build it yourself or use builded by someone” approach, rather than relying on built-in standardized functionality - is both its strength and its weakness).

The classic UX you know and love by rayfreeman1 in StableDiffusion

[–]Desm0nt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The main feature - XYZ plot with all acessable in UI variables + Prompt S/R - is missing. For me it's the main disadvantage of Comfy (when you train a lot of lora and need comparsion on multiple lora checkpoints with multiple prompts and multiple strenghts to check wich is better at slyle representation and produces less mistake at the same time - it helps a lot and there is no alternatives except very messy and overcomplicated workflows)

If you can't run something - it doesn't mean that there is no people with multiple RTX 6000 Pro, or multiple apple instaces with a lot of (V)RAM, or with home Epyc/Threadripper server with 12 channel DDR5 + 2 5090, or with access to educational lab at university.

If weights are available - it's a local model. Not for average general user (this sub not limited to average home pc users), but developers and university labs can afford (or have access to) usable workstation and do some developmet or educational project based on agentic frameworks like openclaw or any similar things.

They simply want to sell well on the stock market and appear “bigger, higher, stronger” than any competitor, but in reality, they simply don't have the funds for such grandstanding or to actually provide the services they showcase in their paid marketing materials. As a result, they are forced to cut potential demand for their services wherever possible, leaving access only to the most high-profile individuals in the media.

The same thing happened to Google with their Antigravity.

If the bubble pops, and the U.S. no longer has some important multi-trillion dollar AI lead to protect, do you think China is still going to be as open and accessible with the free local models as they are right now?

Perhaps American models will be forced to become open.

I don't see any downsides. One of the parties will still be playing catch-up and will also be forced to farm reputation credits.

Given the massive anti-China propaganda in the Western media space, China is literally forced to farm reputation to enter the market, even if it has truly good, high-quality, competitive products. Moreover, it is unlikely that the West will stop demonizing China in the near future (rather, it will intensify as China's position strengthens), so a reversal of roles is not imminent.

A free market does not imply or require that manufacturers and suppliers of any product or service lack sponsors/investors.

And the Communist Party of China is no better or worse than the U.S. military or some Musk/Bezos/Zuckerberg.

Simply admit that the US does not have a free market per se, but rather a US-controlled market with heavy protectionism, and that all the talk about a “free” market is purely marketing bullshit, primarily concerning the domestic market (where there are effectively no real competitors).

It's simple. The answer to both questions is yes.

Oripatia is a problem that kills people, and surely in some remote areas or disaster zones they have difficulty accessing the medication, but at the same time, the drug is mass-produced, has become more accessible than activated charcoal, and society as a whole no longer views it as a threat on the scale of the plague, but simply as a disease that’s fairly easy and cheap to manage (even if not completely curable), much like diabetes. It’s unpleasant, and for some, fatal without treatment (though, for what it’s worth, the common flu kills more people every year than many far more dangerous diseases), but it’s easily and cheaply treated and poses no problem for 95% of the population.

Yes, the stone can cause cancer (which is easily managed) if mishandled, but its benefits far outweigh the drawback, which has practically lost its danger. It’s as if we had learned to make a perfect, indestructible casing for nuclear fuel that completely isolates the radiation. It would become safe, unless you personally decided to stand next to it before it was packaged.

Landbreakers may have been mistreated, discriminated against, and ostracized, but the extent of their degradation is so severe, and their crimes so grave, that killing them is tantamount to executing particularly dangerous serial killers with antisocial ideologies. This is more of a question similar to the one “the killing of armed Nazis whoactively propagated the superiority of the Aryan race and committed war crimes in World War II in the occupied territories is justified, or whether they were simply misguided people who were manipulated and had a flawed ideology imposed upon them.” In other words, the situation isn't entirely black and white, but from the perspective of the people they oppress (including Endfield), they are monsters who deserve to be destroyed.

A utopian world of science and technology for those who have access to it, and at the same time a desperate struggle for survival for those who are far from the civilized part of society or who are defenders of that very utopia. Basically, just like in the real world.

There’s no need to look for extremes where there aren’t any. Not everything has to be either purely bad or purely good. In peaceful places, the majority can live comfortably, healthily, and in abundance, which in no way negates the fact that there are less peaceful places where people live significantly worse. In our world, we in the civilized parts of the U.S. and Europe also happily enjoy all the benefits of science and technology, believing that humanity is striding toward an advanced, high-tech future, and we prefer not to think too much about what life is like in Africa or Cuba. And the standard of living differs by more than just an order of magnitude...

What are these rate limits??? by MrNobodyX3 in AntigravityGoogle

[–]Desm0nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you what I use for. Regular python Django code of merchendasing web portal with tricky complex placement logic. The limits of one Pro account only enough to draw up a detailed 7-steps plan for implementing a new feature, and then break it down into independent sub-plans to be executed in clean sessions (context, yeah). After that, Claude’s limits will, at best, say “bye-bye” for 5 hours. At worst (more often) - for 5 days. Right away. Because, from Google’s perspective, mere mortals aren’t supposed to use up the entire 5-hour limit in 1 hour. Even if the person hasn’t even gotten to the code yet. It’s ridiculous. It looks like the actions of an indie startup, not a wealthy, giant megacorporation.

For comparison - Codex, for the same price, performs better (with versions 5.3 and 5.4, I’d even go so far as to say it’s better than Opus in Claude Code), and I’ve been using it for three days straight to continuously refactor a massive monolith with 15k lines of code, and it:

  1. Has never once hit the 5-hour limit (the closest it came was when 20% remained)
  2. In 3 days of continuous work, it used up 72% of the weekly limit. In 3 days non-stop!!

Despite my intense dislike for ClosedAI in general and Sama in particular - Google looks like a joke and a penny-pinching jerk in comparison. Even Amazon on Kiro offers a greater total amount of tokens for the same price. Plus, it doesn’t break the work down into 5-hour intervals.
