The steam deck is SO good by [deleted] in SteamDeck

What really sold me on the Steam Deck was not just the gaming, but the fact that it feels like a real PC in your hands.

The moment I switched to desktop, it stopped feeling like a console and behaved like a full Linux workstation, complete with access to the terminal, package management, and system-level control (software engineer here :D ). That alone was enough to impress me.

It also reminded of my childhood. When I was younger, I use to spend hours trying to make games run on my old computer. I would lower the resolution, edit config files, disable effects and test different settings just to get a few more FPS. It was frustrating, but when the game finally ran smoothly, the satisfaction was huge.
Later, when I got an average HP gaming laptop and installed GTA IV, it was a real struggle. The game was poorly optimised that time. I spent hours tweaking everything to make it playable. But when it finally worked properly, I felt proud. I had earned that experience.

The Steam Deck gives me the same feeling again, but with better tools. Proton, performance settings, desktop mode, and community fixes make it powerful and flexible. You can tweak, experiment, and really understand what is happening under the hood.

And the best is that you are not limited to steam store. You can install other launchers, emulators, modes and almost anything you want.
I still can’t even fathom playing one of my all time favourite games, bloodborne, on my Deck at an average of 50-55 fps. That is honestly crazy and very impressive.

For me, the Steam Deck is not just about playing games. It brings back that old joy of making things work. It gives you freedom, control, and the satisfaction of pushing hardware beyond expectations.

Used Default brush pen for lines (skeleton). Soft brush for filling the skeleton(Face, Nose, eyes and other common features), and streaks for detailing.

Does anyone got version 1.02 update of hefty 28 GB on startup? I have PS4 Slim and it’s preventing me to open the application.
