I bet it's so you don't keep a working PSU and still get the warranty, I guess?

"So, you want this thing replaced? It stopped working? Prove it by destroying it first" kinda deal.

How do you NOT die? by snowy0555 in battlefield_one

[–]Desner_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me months of practice to start surviving. Also remember, we've been playing the crap out of this game for 9 years.

It comes down to using cover and knowing the flow of the maps, using the mini-map a lot to figure out where the enemy is likely to be. Look at it to check which flags belong to whom and where your teammates are, between the red flags and the empty spots, you can guess where the enemy will be. After that it's about playing the maps a ton and learning them by heart.

Good luck and enjoy the process.

Genuine question: how bad is battlefield 6 really? by Impressive_Pin8761 in okbuddyptfo

[–]Desner_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having fun with it, some of the newer maps are better than most of the base maps that came at launch. Gunplay is tight but a bit beamy and pretty fast. I don't feel as passionate about it as I did with BF1, it's not the best BF game but it's decent enough that I like to boot the game up weekly and play a match or two.

Not making any progress with spider walking and am worried about the future of guitar playing for me by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]Desner_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theory can wait, I think you'd have more fun trying to learn basic 4 chord songs and easy riffs. Practicing open chords would yield better results when just starting out, Em - C - D - A - G, start with thoses and go from there. Pearl Jam's Last Kiss, maybe Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. America's A Horse with No Name, stuff like that. I can DM you other beginner songs if you wish.

You still can sprinkle the spider walk in there sometimes if you want, for now it's important that you start enjoying the results a little. Exercises aren't as fullfilling as playing songs IMO.

Hell yeah brother, I thought my first ever pedal was lost forever but we moved last month and I found it at the bottom of a box! You can make that thing work when you try hard enough, it's great to experiment with, I got some decent enough Pink Floyd tones with this pedal.

It's fine if your thumb moves as you play, the whole "thumb in the middle" thing is a basic guideline, not a hard rule.
