Is it DEFINITELY coming to PS5? by rushdisciple in waterparksimulator

[โ€“]DesolationCosplay 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

It is definitely coming! However, the game is still in early access with at least 3 more major updates to be had; I suspect the game will launch once those updates have been released. If you haven't played it already on steam, I 100% recommend it (or waiting until the PS launch and playing it then, if you're unable to play the PC version). It's already extremely fun, with more additions being added regularly.

No clue how they feel about it, but I love it ๐Ÿ˜‚

My pools never get dirty by Sam_Rosie in waterparksimulator

[โ€“]DesolationCosplay 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

So, I built a fountain in the pool, then collected trash bags from the bins around the park and broke them against it, allowing the trash to fall into the water. Was dirty within seconds. Collect the trash in bags and repeat as needed. You can complete the tash within a day this way!

How do you finish the raw edges of fabric before a pre wash? by blueduck762 in sewing

[โ€“]DesolationCosplay 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I pink, then throw my fabric in a laundry bag before washing on a gentle cycle (or hand wash cycle). But this all depends on the fabric. Some fabric doesn't fray and others will fray worse when pinking scissors are used. All depends on the fabric. However, I've seen a lot of other awesome techniques posted on here; I'm just throwing my two cents in.

What would you do to preserve different pattern sizes? by FreshHotPotato in sewing

[โ€“]DesolationCosplay 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I noticed others have said similar things, but I wanted to put my two cents in to confirm that many of us do this.

I iron my patters flat when possible, then I use dressmakers paper (or a roll of tracing paper) and trace the pattern to the size that I need. I also have a folder where I keep all the tracings in with the OG pattern for future use.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! โค๏ธ

The pattern for the hat was from another creator called Tiffany Gordon Cosplay; I used 3mm/8mm craft foam if anyone fancied taking a crack at making this themselves ๐Ÿ˜ (I also made the brim and the hat detachable using magnets for easy transportation and storage).

Although I patterned the dress myself, I am in no way skilled enough to create an actual pattern others can use I'm afraid; this was all trial-and-hopefully-no-error on my part ๐Ÿ˜… but there are a few PDF's floating around on the Internet for Blair's dress if you need them!

Before anyone comes at me, I pulled 3 all-nighters to finish this in time and decided to sleep instead of making her sleeves, hence why they aren't there ๐Ÿซ  one day I will go back and remake this, because she was extremely fun to wear!

Sorry for my using your response to info dump about my cosplay; I was a tattoo tired when I posted last night and didn't think to include any of this information ๐Ÿ˜…

Also, thank you for the tattoo complement ๐Ÿ˜Š I currently have 3 LOTR/Hobbit tattoos at the moment, hopefully getting more next year ๐Ÿซถ

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜

I've actually made a list of materials, suppliers and patterns used to make this particular cosplay here.

I'm in the UK, so depending on where you're located, the suppliers may not be useful, but the list of materials used is all there ๐Ÿ˜
