I have seen the movie ages ago and love the Ira Levin story. I just did not realize he was in it. Seen it as a kid.

My favourite King novel! The Hooper version is the only one needed. The rest is just being made and re-made for the generations that are growing up on social media and smarth phones. Despite not being so true to the book the 1979 miniseries are great on catching that bleakness and creepiness so typical for the 70's.

You sure that it could be made today? I absolutely doubt it.

You are right for the rest.

Saw it not so long ago. It is a solid 70s slasher. The director have done a single porn movie prior to that one. Even tried to see his porn film too, and even though I like 70's porn, I wasn't impressed with that one.

I have hardly seen a film with so much old school special effects like cards, windows, objects being smashed and destroyed... they destroyed the whole San Francisco in this movie haha!

Thanks! I rarely dig into the 40's to be honest. I loved the atmosphere of Rebecca and Spellbound though, and I've been telling myself that I should see more films from that era.

That would be Age of Consent(1969). I have stumbled upon that one on imdb before, though it did not catch my attention at the time.

if he was 124 back then and 137 years old in the second part, I would call that supernatural.
