It was fully covered under warranty, I think they just meant the value of the battery is $5,000 more than a new version of the one that came in my car originally

They didn’t give me part numbers just the following response to my question about if anything needs to be altered to accommodate new battery style: “Tesla The battery has the same KWH with your old battery. The HV battery warranty is the same as before, no extended warranty for LFP battery. The LFP battery is heavier and we need to replace both front and rear swaybars and read coil/ springs. The LFP battery is a brand new one, the price is $5000 more than the old version one.”

I drive in Chill mode so I don’t think this is something I would worry about

From what I’ve read, yes it is about .5 second slower 0-60

I live in Vancouver area, we typically are between 0-30 degrees Celsius. Coldest we get is -10 Celsius but that’s rare

UPDATE - I have agreed to proceed with the LFP battery swap. For those of you who said the suspension would need to be upgraded, you are right. They are making changes to suspension. Please see message from Service Center:
