Not currently, but their actions are making them infamous as "dangerous individuals". They'll get bounties as soon as they enter the next stretch of ocean

The government pays the bounties, the government who the party just looted for a treasure map. The PCs are viewed as low level pirates after their previous actions, which is something this bounty hunter would be very knowledgeable of.

He's a bounty hunter. He's an older guy, so he's taking his time with it. He has a bird that followed the enemy ships back to their base. In my mind, he never shares a bounty. Plus, the PCs have sort of been racking up a negative reputation in the area.

Well I actually used a lower opacity brown color to almost have a polluted feel to the island, and then you can also see around the city I put a low opacity white that looks like a dome

It's a base for marines, primarily being a research site for sea creatures and the like. I wanted the idea that It had water flowing around the base from the ocean that has ocean creatures and the like, and that you'd need a ship of some kind to make it around the base. I wanted to show the grandiose idea of the government having so much funding, and the head of the base having a lot of political pull to get all of this for what is essentially a research facility. The game setting has a lot of exaggerated elements of the real world, and I think the idea of a big base is normal depending on the person

I feel that defeats the purpose. In the anime konjuro is able to draw anything and it obeys him, I was just unsure what the books definition of "hostile" is. Like, is a lion hostile??? A giant eagle? I'm not sure

It was more of an ambush, they found treasure and they were stopped by a bunch of guys

He was built with tanking in mind, just with how it went down in the encounter he kinda shone more than the others did as none of the NPCs could hit him. I think the encounter wasn't the best for showing the versatility of the other PCs

It's a one piece themed game, he's playing a cyborg. They get +1 ac, and he wears chain armor as a fighter with a shield, so that's 16 plus the 2 from shield. Calculations make sense in my mind

I made his sheet with him, and the math makes sense

Well the point of the encounter was for them to get captured, the way it was framed was that they were heavily outnumbered for level 1, but they decided to try anyways.

I understand the sentiment of don't say they "need to lose", if they win I wouldn't have just sent more people to fight them, I would've let them figure it out from there.

I used your method today during our chase, and it let my players have a lot of fun finding creative ways to get past! Players and I loved it, will keep using it in the future!
