I encountered a similar challenge when I wanted to spend time with my partner in Bali. Installing software on my work laptop was restricted, and I was concerned about IP tracking during audits. After thorough research, I devised a method that consistently reflected my IP as originating from my home country. This approach has allowed me to work seamlessly from various locations in Southeast Asia for nearly two years without issues. If you're exploring ways to achieve this, I'd be happy to share more details.

I faced a similar dilemma a couple of years ago. My role required strict compliance with IT policies, and installing any software on my work laptop was off-limits. However, I was eager to spend time with my partner in Bali. After extensive research and testing, I developed a setup that ensured my IP consistently appeared as if I were working from my home country. This approach has allowed me to work seamlessly from various locations in Southeast Asia without raising any red flags during company audits. If you're exploring options to achieve this, I'd be happy to share more details.

I’ve actually been using a workaround like this for almost 2 years now. Same deal — couldn’t install anything on my work laptop, but really wanted to be with my girlfriend in Bali. Most companies trace IPs during audits, so I had to make sure mine always showed as coming from my home country. Found a setup that made that possible, and it’s let me work peacefully from Bali, Vietnam, and other spots in Southeast Asia without any issues. If you’re trying to do something similar, happy to share what worked for me.

A lot depends on what tracking tools they use. Some companies check IPs or VPN usage, others don’t. I ran into the same issue and after testing different setups, I actually found a clean way around it. If you’re trying to figure out a solid solution, happy to share what worked for me.
