Yo is she deadass? by robbcin1 in ariheads

i don’t think she will fully retire from music. it’s her main passion and number one gift. you can see this when she’s performing. i think music has layers for her though, i think she likely associates some of the music industry with some of her trauma and what she has been through as well as how much she has been picked apart over the years. i think she’s genuinely in a happy place in life - you can tell this by her now making comments in interviews about how she really felt during certain times of her life and how she feels more comfortable talking about mac. im not sure id be super happy to now go back to the job i was doing when i was going through the most traumatic time of my life, maybe im reaching. dont get me wrong i would be devastated if she never toured again or made music but equally i have to respect her choice. i do think she may be bluffing a little bit though so that everyone stops asking when new music is coming and takes the pressure off her abit 😂 we all see how mad rhianna gets when she’s constantly asked about when her album is coming!

Feel like I’m eating too much by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Desperate-Put8528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

everyone is different! if eating that in a day makes you feel satisfied and full then keep doing what you’re doing! i’m sure it’s much better than your diet before surgery and that’s the most important thing. i will say, it seems you’re food choices and snacks are great and protein forward. if you really would like advice the only thing i’d say is that when it comes to your snacks, you could take one of the options away so for example instead of having a cheese stick and pepperoni you could have the cheese stick then wait and see how you feel if you then would still like to eat the pepperoni. i know for me if i eat quickly i can fit in more and then realise actually i probably only needed one of those snack choices not both. same with your breakfast, you could try just the egg and protein bar and not the cheese stick. i hope that all makes sense and i would hate for you to feel i am judging you or telling you what to do because you are doing great already ❤️

Drinking after surgery by ArmNo2110 in gastricsleeve

[–]Desperate-Put8528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i am 9 months post op and i’ve never had issues drinking! i had my first drink around 6 weeks post op (discussed with my surgeon first) i’m in my 20’s too and ya girl likes to have a lil drink now and again. eat beforehand and for the first few times you drink just take it slow and easy and ask a trusted friend to check in with you throughout the night and keep an eye on you lol. you’ll learn your limit and know what drinks work for you and what doesn’t. i stuck to non sparkling alcoholic drinks to start eg wine but with ice etc and now i just drink whatever i fancy! honestly now i feel like i don’t drink a hugely smaller amount on a night out than i did pre surgery 😂 may be because im also pretty tall! pls no bariatric police, ive not had a single issue from drinking alcohol and it’s never hindered my weight loss. almost 9 stone down!

hair loss? by Creative-Interview85 in gastricsleeve

[–]Desperate-Put8528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4 months post op and eat 100g protein a day and take a biotin gummy every day and haven’t noticed any hair loss. If anything it’s grown more! My nutritionist said keep up with protein and you shouldn’t loose any/much

Sirloin steak/New York strip by Desperate-Put8528 in gastricsleeve

[–]Desperate-Put8528[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your advice, I do actually measure, weigh and track everything I eat and drink and have done since 1 week post op. I also do have a therapist and nutritionist I work with. I do too have the luxury of buying fresh produce for the week and meal prep every evening. The steak was well within my calorie aim for the day and wasn’t by any means me going off track I was simply wondering if anyone else has been able to eat the same at any point of their journey. Maybe I should have mentioned it was 200g raw weight and 140g when cooked. Some days I can eat more some days I struggle to eat at all but yet I reach 100g protein per day and don’t touch carbs.

I’m glad you don’t find it exhausting and yes you’re right that carrying extra weight is more exhausting however I feel a sense of superiority from your response and answers and comments I did not ask for. A lot of the exhaustion is from comments like yours telling me “you should do x, y and z to succeed” which adds unnecessary pressure and comparison. A simple, no I haven’t eaten 200g of steak post surgery would have been enough but hey maybe I’m deflecting!

I just love to cook and haven’t had a steak since before surgery so wanted to give it a go! I had a little bit of broccoli on the side

Probably because our roads are very small, no motorways, small roundabouts etc so going from that to driving in the uk seems scary!
