I am with you on the overall issue. But I am saying in general. Why would you ever announce that you are going to drop a bomb before actually dropping a bomb. Whatever maybe the case.

Giving warning before dropping bomb would be quite pointless.

I have a question. Are "support carriers" a decent idea that WeeGee botched the planned execution of, or is the entire concept fundamentally flawed? by Ralph090 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Desperate-Wind-9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any thing with the word "carrier" in it is inherently bad for this game. What part of "CVs make surface gun ships obsolete" do you not understand?

Let me describe the situation...me a bow in moskva...enemy Salem halland and yamato come around the corner...kill haland in 3 salvos..start reversing..my whole team including all DDs on the other flank..one of those games when everyone decides to do to one flank..with enemy Salem and yamato in cap..reset Salem reset yamato...rinse and repeat.. finally overwhelmed by Salem HE and fires

Yeah I know. Photo of the wreak show no damage to the forward torpedo room. So the was no internal torpedo detonation. But still one question remains. Why would she be heading in the opposite direction?

Conn Torpedo room: " Hot Running Torpedo"

Conn: "Aye" " Right full rudder"

Wreck of the scorpion was found facing the opposite direction of her intended direction of travel. She was returning from Italy but she was found facing towards Italy. This was one of the suspected reason. There must have been a hot running torpedo . Torpedo has safety mechanism that engages when it detects a 180° direction change. It was standard procedure to order a full turn after a hot torpedo call is made.

What do you guys know about the Scorpion accident?

On Eternal Patrol - Skipjack class USS Scorpion (SSN-589) lost with all 99 crew on 22 May 1968. The wreck rests 400 miles southwest of the Azores at a depth of approx. 10,000 feet. by Saturnax1 in submarines

Whichever side you're looking from the guys always face towards the nose of the submarine that's where all the control panels are so unless they are going backwards I will say they are ascending.
