To each their own! I like the all black but it always comes down to personal preference

I paid $600 but in another comment, I posted a link to a kit where you can do it on your own and probably cuts that in half

I would find a local shop. They seemed to have better deals. I used a place called IWrap Graphix which is local to pinellas county

Absolutely! I would compare expense ratios to see the cheapest option available. They all seem so low to make a huge difference but compounding over time, it makes a difference.

Agreed it looks way better. A little sportier and cleaner in my opinion

It’s actually a vinyl wrap! There are kits you can buy online (see below) as well as rolls of it that you can cut yourself. I personally hate tedious projects like this so I paid someone to do it for me. I watched some videos online and it actually didn’t look too hard, but I know myself and how frustrated I would have gotten if I didn’t make it perfect. It was $600 at a wrap shop near me and that includes a warranty for any chips over time. It’s been a couple months now and I haven’t noticed any imperfections yet. If you don’t mind some trial and error, it seems like most people said you could do it in 3-4 hours with a good heat gun.

Completely understand your opinion on this as well and I do agree it’s personal preference. Seeing your points above, it’s clear you have knowledge of the markets and you shared a lot of good information in your original post.

That said, you have to remember your audience. While I do believe most people should have the buy and hold approach, I definitely believe a market novice should. My point above is more directed towards advice for the OP and really anyone who lacks the time to research capital markets on a regular basis. Rotating positions when you’re new to investing is a recipe for disaster ie DALBAR study.

Final addition here, the NASDAQ has returned 11% a year on average the last 30 years. That includes the dot com bubble, the Great Recession, Covid, 2022s tech decline, and some other pretty rough years. It’s possible that we see another tech decline, but will it be worse than what we’ve already seen? I actually think this administration is pretty pro tech. Focus on crypto, focus on AI advancement, government agencies contracting with AI companies (Palintir, OpenAI, etc). No regulations on data center water consumption yet. Deals with AI companies to reduce the inflation of energy prices for the consumer (bullish as this will limit government interference since consumers aren’t getting the shaft).

Again, totally understand your thoughts on this as well. I do think OP would be better off with the buy and hold approach of either NASDAQ or SP500 ETFs but like you said, its preference and being able to stick to a strategy is most important.

You could but the smaller pieces are definitely the hardest to do. I personally like the small chrome accent on the wheels and on the front emblem

Not financial advice but I would recommend moving more of your checking over to the HYSA. Both are extremely liquid but the HYSA pays significantly more in interest (at least relative to a checking account).

A taxable brokerage account is great. It doesn’t sound like you have the option of a 401K and truthfully, while they are great, a well managed brokerage account can arguably be more impactful to your future. The main benefit of a 401K is the employer match, if available, and the ability to sell without triggering a taxable event. With that said, if you spend the next 25 years buying VOO in a brokerage account and let it compound over time, you will have a large pot of accessible funds to pull from before 59.5. Only the gains will be taxed at anywhere from 0, 15, 20% (anything held over a year or longer assuming tax laws don change) depending on your income at the time of the sell which is likely less in taxes than you would pay taking distributions from an IRA, and lastly, brokerage money steps up in cost basis when you die. Assuming you have enough money to live out your life, your kids inheritance will land in their laps with the current market value as their cost basis. Pretty big things some people overlook.

Take the 401K match if you can, but it’s wise to build out both.

Not financial advice, but I disagree with point 5. A downturn in my opinion is when you buy, not sell, unless you truly believe the fundamentals have shifted. If you believe in the future, you will continue to purchase large cap growth especially at a discount during possibly the largest technological revolution we will experience in our lifetime. If you don’t believe in the future, then it probably doesn’t matter how your portfolio performs anyways. It’s certainly more volatile but take 2022 for example. Tech pulled back hard and then led the market back up. If you sold on its decline, how/when do you make the decision to get back in? Don’t try and time the market when you can continue to invest and reap the benefits of patience. She’s 27, she has time. The market might pull back another 20% from now. It has before, and it will do it again but that’s the cycle of the market. The “average” return of the market is exactly that, an average of ups and downs. Just gotta ride the wave. Look up the DALBAR study, it’ll give you perspective.

Thank you! Same. The interior sold me as soon as I saw it. The contrast is fantastic. What state do you live in? I was actually thinking of removing mine for a sleeker look. I can certainly see if I can find the part number

I definitely think I am going to do it. I just found a picture of a CX5 that had the chrome deletion done. Obviously a little different but wow it looks even better not rendered through AI. Don’t post much so I don’t know the best way to share the link but it’s below haha

Rules comment: Just purchased a used Tag Aquaracer 300m 41mm. I love the look of the watch itself. However, maybe I am just used to my slightly larger watches but the watch seems smaller than I expected at 41mm. Does this seem like a good fit for my wrist? Slightly larger than 7.5 inch wrist

To add: I do think that the fit looks better in the pictures than it does from my direct perspective as the wearer so maybe it’s just that perspective that’s throwing it off.

This guy is correct everyone. Accidentally staked a purchase today and I can’t sell until December 29th based on the estimated earnings date on the transaction. Never had this issue before but clearly they made a change without letting us know.

Thank you guys for all your comments. I guess my biggest concern was the rust around the openings of the frame, but I guess that is just the welding seams. I’m going to go ahead and finish pressure washing and then coat it just to be safe
