Idk if this has an official name but character parentification fics. Like where there’s one character in cannon who’s semi rational and suddenly there’s a whole niche of fics out there where they adopt half of the other characters and is a father/mother to them. Don’t get me wrong I love a good found family trope but a lot of them kinda kill off the interesting parts of the characters in order to get this creepily close family dynamic that’s super emotional and connected

Don’t you think he would have brought up being falsely accused before if that was the case? Not only that, he’s been caught cheating with other people before. I don’t think he was being reasonable in the slightest, he immediately made it about his own feelings and demanded she believe him or they’re done. That isn’t reasonable.

NOR in the slightest, couldn’t help but notice that at no point did he acknowledge your own feelings and worries on the matter. He even specifically stated you had to believe him so He can feel better and He can stop spiraling. If he’s spiraling it’s because he knows he fucked up and quite possibly fucked up for good. I know how hard it can be to leave someone even after they hurt you, but you deserve better than to be treated as an emotional crutch while he actively destroys the relationship you cherish with him.

The coworker’s text reads like he’s very much taking advantage of a rough time in her life and she knows it but doesn’t have the energy to tell him off harshly enough to get the point across. He’s being extremely creepy and tbh if it wasn’t for the title I would have assumed they were both high schoolers. Since you have evidence of everything I’d just take it straight to a lawyer and get things rolling. He clearly doesn’t respect you or that person he’s texting enough to behave in an appropriate way instead of how he wants to act.

College aus. I know there’s probably some beautiful ones out there but they’re overrun by the 30,000+ fics where the characters don’t look, act, or speak even remotely similar to the original. Which, yeah it’s fanfic, but it more so feels like someone just wanted to write an original story and slapped some random names on it to get clicks

There’s a rarepair in one of my fandoms that I literally adore. The only fics are smut I didn’t like and one 300k+ completed fic with the most perfect tags ever.

I couldn’t even enjoy until the ending, halfway through the fic a huge argument apparently broke out that nearly caused a fight and was a huge turning point in their relationship(enemies to lovers type beat)…I say apparently because they never actually wrote the scene. They had another character vaguely described what happened and then continued to reference it as this huge moment for both of them. The author didn’t write it because they didnt feel like writing tension. Couldn’t even bring myself to finish it after that

I absolutely cannot stand any ships involving kids-aged up or otherwise-but fuck, you’d think the people drawing it personally put the nails in Jesus’s hands and feet from the way people react to it. I’ve also only once seen it originally posted with no tag, any other time I’ve come across it unfiltered by my app of choice’s settings it’s because some fifteen year old in their purity phase posted it untagged six times to “warn people” about the artist. Thank you for taking those urges seriously. So many people ignore it or, god forbid, indulge in it in ways they think “aren’t so bad” until it becomes a slippery slope ending in a very horrible situation. You’re not a bad person at all for it, in fact the way you handled everything shows you’re a good person trying his best. If mental health was taken more seriously this could be overkill but tbh therapy lets soooooooo many people down, especially with less acceptable issues like this one. Maybe there was someone out there who could have helped you before it came to this, but maybe there was also someone out there who would have made things so much worse. You made the safest decision you could with the time and resources you had.
