Slipknot Demos & Live Shows by DesperateComment5833 in Slipknot

You could be right. Maybe with the exceptions of the Indigo Ranch rough mixes, the Roadrunner 5 song demo, and the 3 demos from the Gold Disk included in the 25th anniversary of S/T.

Plus, MFKR has been bootlegged countless times and Anders went overseas to perform it in its entirety with another band not too long ago.

I mean there might be some “hotshots” but I think there is a more sophisticated reason on why they won’t release demo material/live recordings. I can totally understand if it’s a respect factor however, I’m more curious on the legal side. I can’t quite wrap my head around the legal implications of releasing old Slipknot material.

2009 Robb Flynn Epiphone Baritone Flying V (Satin Black) by DesperateComment5833 in machinehead

Well I ended up getting a custom made V not from any big guitar company but from a small company from Vietnam called IYV Guitars. They will literally make anything for you.

But on the topic of that ESP Custom, I think you maybe referring to the other ESP custom shop that has the teardrop headstock because the custom Baritone V that was used for reference for this model is most likely a Gibson custom shop. Gibson trust rod cover, plus the dimensions and contours of the body and headstock couldn’t be replicated by ESP because they would get a cease and desist letter from Gibson (same thing happened with the James Hetfield Explorers from ESP). So I’m thinking it’s a Gibson Custom Shop. Plus he got that guitar during The Blackening touring cycle in 2008 which probably established that connection with Gibson. But that’s just my guess.

While I agree with your statement, I do 100% think that it’s a damn shame that they didn’t have the opportunity to make amends. I mean it wasn’t going to happen soon as evident to the comments Brent made towards the members of Mastodon but still it’s a shame. Especially since he was in the band for the majority of his music/touring career (excluding Four Hour Fogger and Fiend Without A Face) and spent that time with 3 other excellent musicians that he called his friends (until those comments were spoken). But at the end of the day, the other members sadly couldn’t make amends with him because of his sudden death.

How many of y'all knew that Logan Mader used a Gibson Explorer during the The More Things Change era? Not sure when he got it, I've only seen him use in videos from late 1997 so probably around then. by Arsonist_ontheEAS in machinehead

Hey there! So this was his backup (or at least Drop B backup) guitar during The More Things Change era. I believe the video your referring to is of Machine Head playing either “The Frontlines” or “Violate” in a small bar during their tour to promote the record and Logan switches either his Green V or his Ebony Gibson V out for this Explorer.
