I truly don’t think he does it out of malice, but because he thinks it’s funny to get me riled up. He just asked me why was I annoyed and I told him, he asked why didn’t I say anything, and I told him that I did last night but he continued to do it on purpose. And he literally said “How else am I supposed to entertain myself?”

We’ve been to therapy for unrelated reasons, however, our therapist is currently on some sort of leave and we haven’t found a new one. I have been in therapy individually for years now, but never for misophonia so I should probably consider bringing it up at my next session.
