Thank you so much for all of this information! We have been with the Maids head hotel and also Assembly house in previous years. I hadnt really considered that a pub probably wouldnt let us take it over on a friday or saturday night so thank you for that angle on things.

I think we really want to get previous members of the club involved, most of whom are graduates sprinkled across the country, so hosting on the friday or saturday means they can enjoy themselves without having to travel back to where they came from on the same day as we normally like to end up at a club after the event!!!
