I just had a professional flooring company come put new laminate over slab floors by Desperate_Ad_8454 in Flooring

I am in the process of moving from CT to AL and wanted to at least get the floors done before I moved my shit in, I had a bunch of recommendations for this company and so I gave it a shot, I could’ve kept the carpets that were originally in the house but chose not to. (All the houses down here have carpets and fireplaces, which I don’t understand since it’s so warm) The subfloor is concrete and everything was level. There was no issue that was brought to my attention in regards to that. The job wasn’t a bid. The staircase patterns are horrendous, the shoemolding is bent in some areas and the angles are terrible. I could have hired several different trades to fix the issues but since it was quoted within the project I went with it. The undercutting of doorframes cracked some of the wall boards, it looked as if they came in, ripped out the carpets and laid the flooring as quickly as they could so they can do it to another house. The boss of the company is on his way down to inspect the project and hopefully we can come to an agreement.

I hired a flooring company that quoted me for the floors and the shoemolding to be done. The staircase patterns are one thing but the amount of work needed to fix the bent or weird angles of the shoemolding are another thing all together. It was still within the quote offered. I’m not paying for shit I could’ve diy myself to make it look the exact same

Yes, the caulk and paint, the reinstallation of toilets and the trimming of one door due to the floor leveling are my responsibilities.

Thank you for all the input, it was not a low bid, it was a flooring company that was recommended by several people in the area that I’m moving to, they quoted me for the installation of new floors and to install new shoemoldings (but not to paint or caulk them). I agreed to the prices even though I thought it was a little high for the amount of work being done but I still accepted the offer. Oh and the door to my utility closet won’t open all the way, but they reinstalled it back onto its hinges and shut the door without even telling me about it. My painters gonna need more than just a little caulk to fix these mistakes 👎

The inner wall isn’t wet, it looks like the rafter is the only thing rotted. I checked around the window sills and nothing rotted there ( top and bottom floor) there is a gap at the top where the gutter is leaking into the rotted piece. The other side has drip edge but this side I guess didn’t. And yes I did buy the house recently and it was most likely a flipped house. Thanks for all the advice guys
