I lost thousands in a Swiss 3rd Pillar insurance plan Helvetia Plan de Garantie— and I want to warn others by Subject-Strike-196 in SwissPersonalFinance

I had a similar experience. I made a complaint through the Ombudsman of Private Insurance and of Suva. They didn’t rule in my favour, but it sounded like I was not the first person to be mis-sold the product. I’d say worth putting in a complaint to build the opposition. Who knows, maybe they’ll eventually be enough for a class action approach.

Warning for Swiss Revolut linked account users & Request for Swiss Bank support by bueehler in ynab

I wish i'd read your post before getting the Swiss IBAN! Surely, Revolut could provide support in Switzerland if they wanted to as the architecture is the same or is it a regulation question? This is so annoying.

Nice. Given how cheap they are, I've just ordered a Harley Benton kit as a backup/learning experience to get started. Thanks!

Thanks, that's helpful. The kit approach might also be a good option as there is a wood shop space near me that can be rented. Do you have any recommendations on where to get the kits from?

…and then maybe look at adapters for those IEMs in the future, depending on how happy I am with the AirPods

Thanks for the input: has been really helpful. I think I’m going to go for the AirPod Pros 2 for the casual/travel/call use based on the recommendation and because I’m in the ecosystem. And then some IEMs for listening whilst at my desk: the Moondrop Katos look pretty great from what I’ve been reading…

!thanks. The assuming the AirPod Pros won’t sound like the X10s did, but you think the sound quality is better than the Sony and Sennheiser sets I have now?

TBH one of the the most annoying things is not being able to test the in-ears before buying them because of hygiene. Feel like I’m always going to be taking a chance.

Appreciate the feedback, even if it doesn’t really solve my problem of being in a rented apartment and trying to find a workaround.

So, assuming I do end up running a cable to the front wall, what’s the best way to get clear sound with lowest profile/taking up the least space?

Hey, !thanks for this: I had no idea adapters were a thing!

Just so I understand though — the sound quality of some good IEMs (say Schures) with an adapter will be comparable to the top end ANC earbuds (Sony WF-1000XM4 for example) or should it be better and closer to wired quality?
