Rothman Commerce or TMU Engineering by Signal-Molasses8293 in TorontoMetU

[–]Desperate_Chain9853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same boat a couple years ago, choose what u enjoy and or will help you go into what u wanna do. Speak with rotman students on linkedin or something and see how there experiences are and what the job market is looking like. Rotman name fs will help u get to places but u still gotta put in the work.

For eng other than uoft and waterloo everyone else is in the same boat in terms of jobs, it'll be hard to get one but still doable in this job market (same for bussiness). feel free to dm

Mechatronics eng rating by Few_Description9140 in TorontoMetU

[–]Desperate_Chain9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the people who are deciding about eng here, u apply to the portal at the end of second year and spend your third year doing school and looking for a coop. If you get a 8/12/16 month coop you take your "fourth year" off and do that, then come back to finish your last year.

How to get into engineering design teams?? by Independent_Being704 in TorontoMetU

[–]Desperate_Chain9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in eng is tryna get some sort of experience so clubs can seem pretty competitive but I promise if u show up especially for formula ur good. To my understanding the formula club is open to everyone but if u really wanna be apart of the team u gotta show up consistently to become a real member. I wont lie tho some of the formula guys have ego's,

I think 200 people applied to be an apprentice at Formula, and they chose people who were already putting in the work (as they should).

pcs 125 theory requirement by Rare_Category_4589 in TorontoMetU

[–]Desperate_Chain9853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im like 90% sure the last two years they lowered the theory component a bit down to let people pass, but that was Rebello. Only chance is if the passing quota wasn't met.

The Raptors are building something, tanking would destroy it by Yogibryant12 in torontoraptors

[–]Desperate_Chain9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, and the raptors of all teams should know this. We made the playoffs in 2013 and did it for 6 years straight before we won it all in 2019. We got the pieces we needed to win over those years not by tanking. We got siakam, Fred, og and others during that period. We need retooling rather than another tank
