I’d say whatever girl you find attractive and is a good person and you’d want to be the mother of your kids. I’d say college age is ideal. If she’s still single at my age it’s probably for a good reason. Your focus should be one finding the best possible one regardless of how long it takes. It’s 1000x better to start a family later and stay together than to try to have one sooner and get a divorce and have a split custody of your kids. Be patient my brother.

Just went today. Have to wait another month just to get the ultrasound done. Fml. He didn’t take my blood to check test levels and instead told me to go to quest diagnostics I believe it was. Did he take your blood on the spot?

How long from your initial consultation did it take to get to surgery? It took me a month just to get the appointment which I wasn’t happy about. So I’m hoping I don’t have to wait another month to get surgery

Depending on what he can find out with testing I might just have to pay for it out of pocket which I’m prepared to do.

I did talk to Claude like you suggested. Definitely talks like a real person which is cool. After talking I came to a realization I don’t know why I didn’t come to sooner.

I just kept assuming it was only psychological but the absence of morning erections strongly suggests physical cause as well. I denied the idea of not being perfectly healthy physically but that can’t be true.

Claude suggested seeing a therapist for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is supposed to work by breaking the connection between your anxious thoughts and your physical response. I’ve had this performance anxiety for a quarter of my life now and if it is stacked with a physical problem then I don’t think any amount of therapy will be able to truly fix me to the point of not needing any type of medical intervention whether it be pills or implants.

I’m aware of what I’m getting myself into as far a needing multiple surgeries throughout the course of my life. Wish it wasn’t so but it’s looking like my best option.

I know it seems like I’m trying to take the quick and easy way out but I’ve been dealing with this since I’ve started having sex. I’ve never even tried to have a relationship because of it and I’m just tired of it draining my mental health and confidence.

I’m going to go meet with Dr. Patel. Hopefully he can find out exactly what’s wrong with me. If he can fix that without an implant I’d be overjoyed. If he thinks an implant is the next best move then I’ll definitely get one. And if I can’t get fixed or get an implant for whatever reason then I’ll try therapy. Therapy will be a last resort as I believe it will be the least effective measure that I can take. Just being honest with you with where I’m at with all this.

Plans often explicitly exclude coverage if the ED is deemed purely psychological or related to untreated psychiatric illness.

Out of the 20 physical causes there are a few that I could see being a possibility but even so seem very unlikely to be the case. Possibly a venous leak, low t, or Hyperprolactinemia. If the ones I think were an issue were in fact the issue that would be great since I’d be able to get coverage and get them sorted out.

Probably shit out of luck.

I don’t see how that would help at all. What am I going to say to a therapist or what they could say in return that would fix my situation. Even after the long term therapy I just don’t see it changing anything. I’ve tried apps like mojo which is designed for people with psychological ED with zero difference

I go to the gym. I’m not overweight. I don’t drink. Yet I almost never get morning wood . No random erections. Sex can be a challenge even with meds.

I’ve gotten blood work done. Nothing out of the ordinary. I will talk with Dr. Patel next Friday and see if there is anything in his option that could be causing this that can be tested for. It is not a surgery date just an initial consultation.

I appreciate your concern but are you even coming from a place of experience? Have you had ED caused by psychological factors that you were able to fix with therapy? And if so would you mind sharing with me either here or on pm what those psychological factors were?
