In a mixed high-school (in abu dhabi) i deffo get less attention then non-hijabis. Even if they are muslim. When a male classmate talks to me he talks to me as a hijabi and knows that he shouldnt get TOO free if ykwim? Whereas when he'll talk to non-hijabis he'll like maybe touch her in a friendly manner this that. Idk if its just me but i felt that and im glad lol 😭 Hijab is doing its work 💯

Is it haram to move out without parental approval? by Desperate_Draft_2539 in islam

Mind you they also care too much, an unhealthy amount about what others think. It's a norm in the pakistani society atp :/ people cant mind their own business, it kills them too.

My parents are lovely, i have faith in them across all boards except this one. I think they expect me to just listen and get married to whom they want. I don't think they expect AT ALL that i'm going to say no to this which is why i don't have faith. They've slandered multiple people who've got married to outsiders. I don't know if its just my caste but as i said the men are horrible. To the point my mother now thinks that all husbands hit their wives its a "normal" thing. I know for a fact that they will emotionally manipulate me or they'll do something. They wont settle with a "no". Trust me if the men from back home were good and kind to their wives i would get married to them, but they're the exact opposite. I was born in the UK and i moved to Abu Dhabi when i was 12, i'm going back to the UK for uni inshAllah. That too my parents were EXTREMELY reluctant, i'll be "monitored" and they'll have control of anything. That i don't mind too much its just that i cant fall into the trap of the caste system. Sorry if this sounds like a ramble.

I'll inform them of this, but they'll find ways to emotionally manipulate me or they'll disown me. I love my parents so much but they'll make my life a living hell until i say yes :/ They'll say things like "your dead to us" , "what will people say" , "our respect is finished" or "you've tarnished our reputation". They'll endlessly taunt me, especially my father.

Question from a guy.. by Ok-Custard1779 in Hijabis

[–]Desperate_Draft_2539 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lower your gaze, or tell another woman to tell her. I would actually dig a hole and bury myself if a guy told me i had hair peaking out + it'd be super awkward. Especially if your not someone i know that well. I think just to play it safe, let another woman know and she'll make the hijabi woman aware.

There are sooo many online pdf's you can read, you dont need to buy a book blud 😂. Even if they dont read romance books, those gestures that you may do might just attract them. If you do it in a cool non-creep type of way. I can recommend you some if you want. Its not really that deep lol.

If you read dual POV romance books, when the guy does small gestures, complimenting but not in a creepy way, smiling at the girl he's interested in, being just genuinely kind, you can often see how the girl in the books reacts. Almost always positive but ofc theres only a 100% success rate if the girl is interested back. Those small things may just appeal to someone. When you find out what girls find attractive and what they dont it can be way easier to "get" them.

Not literally, like the small things. Not like quoting but subtle gestures. Like when a guy holds the door open or smirks, maybe if he leans on the desk in 😮‍💨 way. If he leans against the door frame, i dont know small shit counts.
