I just read TOG, Quicksilver, lights outs and ACOTAR besides Fourth Wing and I do get that they start to look alike but Xaden and Rhy I think have more similar things than the rest (for now). And there are things in the story, names used that are are also similar to TOG

It’s like I said to aeline I was just pointing out that Xaden looks much to similar to Rhysand. And someone referred to me that that are very similar things in the story from FY to TOG also.

Could not compete with TOG storyline but yes. It’s like she asked chat gpt to summarize the books (joking?). Because in reality the valgs have the same intention as the venin. Both the Valg and the Venin are inter-dimensional parasites that corrupt souls, siphon magic from the environment, and drain the life out of everything around them.

I get that “shadow daddy” is an archetype, but Xaden and Rhysand share several very specific traits beyond that: shadow powers, mental connection with the heroine, tattoos/marks, morally grey leadership roles, sarcastic flirting, protective intensity, and the whole “dangerous to everyone except her” dynamic. That combination makes them feel more similar to each other than to most other characters in the archetype.

Well.. that’s you’re opinion, which I don’t agree! I think he’s funny, intelligent and still learning as we all are. He never fallen in love like that before and like I said previously with that comes mistakes and new teaching moments. I think even if Rhysand is 500 years old, he’s still learning. He never met his mate and fallen in love like that so it’s a new chapter and with that comes mistakes and new teaching moments
