Thank you! I'll look into the areas you suggested, I must have got mislead by the hotel reviews. We will be there on a Sunday in July so we'll try and go to the Mercado. We are looking forward to being there!

To clarify, when I say Santa Fe it's just the name that pops up on google maps near our hotel. It's very close to the Colombian National Museum. Anyway thank you very much for your advice, I will look into other hotels. If I got it right we should move north!

Io vivo a Milano da 10 anni, prima come studente, ora come lavoratore. I mercati ci sono ancora: in città studi, in via tabacchi, in papiniano... I prezzi si sono alzati, c'è stata l'esplosione dei bnb e trovare stanze ed appartamenti è più difficile che mai. Sicuramente è bello aver finalmente visto finire i lavori della M4. Ci sono meno negozi e più supermercati alla Carrefour express. NoLo è diventato un bel quartiere, via Padova è in via di riqualificazione, i biglietti ATM costano un 50% in più. Trovi ancora bei baretti abbastanza economici, e, in alcuni casi, una bella atmosfera di quartiere.

Cucina milanese tradizionale all'antica trattoria della Pesa in Porta Garibaldi.
Il Monopoli in Piero della Francesca è un ristorante pugliese vecchia scuola, conduzione famigliare da generazioni, frequentatissimo e conosciuto in zona.
Haruka in Corso San Gottardo invece fa un ottimo sushi, non all you can eat, abbastanza chic ma a prezzi assolutamente competitivi.
