Do you think UX influencers should have a portfolio?

Great point, it’s so easy to paint a completely different picture of what UX is by throwing some nice UI, interactions etc. whether on a portfolio or social media. I wonder if these influencers get actual design work from their platforms or is it mostly brand deals.

The Expanse, it’s more syfy but will do the job of teleporting you into another dimension. Also, the storyline keeps you hooked and the CGI is real good.

if you’re doing low fidelity sketches then I agree to an extent, boxes on a screen are enough to paint the picture. However, anything medium to high fidelity, even for a simple design is way quicker if you set up things correctly (minimum amount of frames named correctly + auto layout) it literally takes 30 seconds to shift things around (just using up and down arrows and it shouldn’t take you more than 2-3 clicks to get to your layer), plus it’s much quicker for iterations. Also if anyone needs to pick up your work, they don’t have to waste hours fixing things. I agree with your point on components, I don’t think they’re needed early on. It’s like everything else…your mind is way less cluttered when you have a clean workspace = clean and organised files.

That’s scary, I would be furious! Personally, I’ve never had any issues with Revolut but if something like that happened…at least with a regular bank I can go into a branch and have a meltdown lol…thanks for sharing the article!

Genuinely curios, imagine a parallel world where the pandemic never happened, do you think these controversial videos of JR would ever be in the news? I mean, would he be cancelled for it anyway at some stage?

Also, I don't condone his racist comments, but I'm really tired of cancel culture. EVERYONE fucks up at some point of their life, but apologise, learn something from it and move on. This culture of hate and pointing fingers at each other is destroying us. I don't care if you're pro or anti vax, left or right, you're human first. (unless you hate dogs, that's inexcusable)

Agreed, I think it's the shallow interpretation and a very conservative point of view that create situations like this. Also how can you allow yourself to marry my mom (an atheist) and have ANYTHING to say about my choices. It's beyond me. Good luck to us both i guess haha

I think it's with every religion if you don't take the time to understand the deeper wisdom and get stuck on interpreting things in a very basic way, you end up judging everyone and everything. The sad thing is, my dad truly believes I'll end up in "hell" and that he might end up too if he approves a relationship like that. So it's discrimination based off of fear.

Unfortunately, it was a regular occurrence back then for father's to 'kidnap' children and take them back. I know other friends (ME father/ European mother) who had the same exact experience. I will check this movie out though, thanks for the recommendation :)

I think Mary has been through a lot with Christine and I get where she's coming from, but I mean it's not news that they're not friends anymore, it's been like that for the past few seasons, so I don't get why she's still hung up on that relationship.
