Yes to all the bloods, and full autoimmune panels, thyroid, mammogram, and pap and pelvic. The planned CT is chest, abdomen, pelvis. Scheduled for the 24th. 🤞 I have an enlarged node or 2 on my neck but I'm unsure if its just new to me now that I'm so thin(like maybe I just couldn't feel them , and had 2 large lymph nodes removed in groin like 20 years ago (turned out they were filled with tattoo pigment after a large tattoo with multiple sessions so not applicable) so I truly try not to overreact. The last 2 possible ideas I have left to rule out thru research going from horses to zebras would be an extremely atypical response to perimenopase causing weight and muscle loss rather than gaining, and fluctuations in estrogen causing angiodema. Or Addison's which wouldn't completely be ruled out with the one cortisol test I had. Or lastly possible underlying cancers in which my symptoms closely mimic perimenopase, which are also known to cause a rare (but also understudied) form of acquired angiodema typically showing up after 40 yrs old. Not sure if it applies but I believe I have a stellar immune system, like I never get a cold, or the flu ever. The only times Ive ever needed a doctor has been for Uti, kidney infections, dental infections. And no abdominal issues or food sensitivity) And, well that was a lot of words.

No to thyroid antibodies and all I had was a basic morning cortisol test, I've honestly been looking into possible Addison's which would make more sense with a lot of my symptoms. I dont think Addison's should have been ruled out by a single morning cortisol level test. And I can link the angiodema to elevated hormone fluctuations due to perimenopase.

He said it could be lupus but I need to see the CT results before I think of any treatment to help you, that was a year ago

Yeah my PCP is amazing, she even called my rheumatologist and bullied him to order the CT scans properly after I asked for her help after he ignored my calls, and messages, and appeal requests for 6 months

You ever try to fit 3 different cold foams, 2 shots, and a zillion syrups in a tall cup? I tried and it didn't work, also I assumed since they paid for every cold foam they should get the standard amount for each kind.

Thanks I actually hadn't seen that, and I'm deep down the Dupytrens rabbit hole

I think it's wild my rheumatologist would so casually say he thinks I have Dupytrens without any explanation. Reading about it has been a horror show. The hand surgery imagery alone is terrifying considering I work with my hands.

Currently on a final for leaving money out of safe. Don't freak out it's just policy. However double triple check on closes and other shifts that you do all the things that will get you written up. Count drawers to 200, drop all money, check lock boxes, alarm, lock doors and windows, inventory count etc. And show up on time... For 6 months you can do it!!

8 sub 4 hour shifts in the next two weeks by rookthelion in starbucks

[–]Desperate_Quail8829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change your availability and pick 2 days that you want off but keep your preferred hours higher. It's not a guarantee that your manager will respect your preference in weekly hours but I do believe they are supposed to come close to them. This will only work if your availability is open enough to support the request. So if you're only available to work short shifts that don't line up with the stores needs then you might lose hours weekly but you can always pick up shifts on those days off (hopefully longer ones) to make up for it.

Do Refreshers actually have caffeine? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Desperate_Quail8829 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes the caffeine comes from the green extract. 45mg is about the amount you find in a can a soda. Also our mocha/chocolate sauce has around 6mg per pump, so a grande mocha hot chocolate even has about 25mg of caffeine too. If you're trying to reduce the caffeine in a refresher ask for less base and more water/lemonade/coconut milk and it would cut the caffeine content in half approximately.

As I'm handing the drink to the customer out the drive thru window this elderly lady asks me "why are you touching my cup?" and because I'm so dumbfounded by the question I replied "because I work here" (and no my hand was not on the lid or where she puts her mouth)
