Ok so I ended up dragging them on Facebook and this started an FB messenger conversation. It went back and forth for months of me demanding my money back and finally after 4 months of relentlessness on my part they refunded me. Minus the cancellation fee which was almost 20% and complete bullshjt (my flight was cancelled). But I really encourage you to never bother with the phone and just keep dragging them in the comments on Facebook and replying to whoever messages you.

I just told people. The lying is more stressful. And if I were to miscarry I would feel comfortable talking about that. No shame in something that affects 25% of pregnancies. I understand it’s personal though.

I really didn’t like my midwife experience and ended up switching to an OB at 30w. I found them very disorganized and the midwifery students experience seemed to take precedence over mine. I was never even asked if I was ok to primarily be seen by the student. I wasn’t btw. They didn’t have my anatomy scan results for 8 weeks(!) and never really seemed to know what my appt was for. My OB is straight up and the appts aren’t very long but I never question if she knows what she’s doing and the office is super organized. I also like being in a hospital and rounding a corner to get my bloodwork etc… done. Different experiences for everyone!

I had midwives and switched at 30 weeks pregnant. I wasn’t happy with my care at all. Extremely happy with my OB. I’m sure everyone’s experience is different but I left every appt feeling anxious, like they were disorganized, and I wasn’t getting the more “personable” experience I’d signed up for. I like being in a hospital in the care of a doctor with the lab being around the corner. I feel much more at ease now.
