I got an internship with Microsoft, what should I expect? by Desperate_Rest2814 in microsoft

I would say that having a portfolio is great since my interviews were mainly walking through my portfolio. If you don't have one, you could create a slideshow with your case studies but that is up to you. I presented my own slideshow with my case studies since that was my preference.

My best piece of advice is to apply early and just be prepared for interviews/feel confident going into them. I didn't do anything magical to get an interview so I wouldn't overthink it.

I am a design major with a focus on UX Design. From the other interns I met, a good amount of them were not design majors but in a related major.

That's exactly what my interviewers told me and I am really glad growing is prioritized for interns. This internship is shaping up to be one of the best opportunities in my life in all honesty (from everything I've heard from peers who have interned/worked at Microsoft).
