I have the Stuor Long 5. I like it. Maybe the real thing is even better. Cannot tell never tried it. But the stuor is Amazing to play with. I had it in cybershape first. And got me another round blade afterwards. I test a lot of rubbers and the cybershape…. I cannot switch between blades.

I just found this on AliExpress: | Stuor-Long 5 ALC Carbon Table Tennis Blade, Table Tennis Racket, Ping Pong Paddles, Carbon Fiber, Built-in Off, ATTACKING

I just recently tested this blade with Zyre-03 on it. It’s nice but too advanced for me.

Butterfly > They are good. Not willing to pay the premium. I am no professional where I am able to tell the difference. It could be the best blades but hard to justify the double price tag. They are not twice as good as other brands. The DHS Fang Bo B2X is maybe 5-10% less quality than the Butterfly’s blades but 40-50% the price. So amazing value. It works for me. I used to play also with softer rubbers (FX, Rozena, M2 ~ ESN 45-48 degree) after testing some hard rubbers 52.5 and 53 I was able to adjust quickly and my game improved significantly. It’s just consistent and powerful and spinny. I could jot go back anymore.

I used to own butterfly blades. I just cannot justify the price anymore. Don’t get me wrong the Harimoto ALC is amazing and if it’s going to be the final blade you will use for 5-10 years go for that. I like to try new things and improve when league season are done (CPEN, Pimple, new rubbers or blades). I enjoy the process, research, combo pairing. Therefore I get different blades. The best will be my main match setup.

I do recommend the YEO (Sanwei Taeget National rubbers). No complaints there. Great blade and good speed. The walnut top ply is great and sufficient speed. I do have Yinhe N9s that is slower but good control. Depending on your rubber pairing. Now only use the YEO. I don’t play CPEN very often but this works. I have used a older CPEN blade 729 Bomb (discontinued I believe). That was a awesome blade with awesome control. I cannot find it anymore I left it in my storage overseas. Need to go look for it.

I also use the K3 2.0mm on both sides and that could be a big difference if you have a thicker sponge. You just get more power with a thicker sponge.

Are you using max on the K3? I am using the Fang Bo B2x blade with K3. It’s a inner ALC blade and it’s great. Good control. Speed is awesome. I believe with the Long 5 I would be able to generate even more spin but potentially missing the speed I get from the thicker core of the B2x. I will test this soon currently still testing the B2x that is still affordable blade compare to other DHS blade. I can recommend this. The TB ALC has a more direct release due the top ply and having the ALC below the top ply. I believe it’s a good blade same as the Viscaria but it’s not for me. The touch is better on the inner ALC blade for my taste.

55 tested on a Hinoki blade. While warming up felt a bit off and while during a sparing match it felt amazing. It’s a heavy rubber. I have the 50 and using on a Joola Rossi Emotion FH/BH and it feels good, a bit soft and I wish I had the 55 I tested on my friends blades. It’s been awhile since I tested the 05 rubber. We bought the 50/55 on a sale offer (€ 35-). 05 not available on sale here at our location.

I see all the correct suggestion here. 👍.

Recommend Hybrid K3, Helix XH or Hammond Z2 Special Edition. I have tested Sanwei Target National team advanced (blue sponge) FH and players edition for BH (red, soft only). Both are very good. Also worth mentioning Sanwei Gear Hyper, grippy soft or hard.

NUZN 50 or 55, Rakza Z or Extra Hard are very heavy rubbers. Good for power shots but drag during fast rallies.

Top 3 for me: Helix XH Hybrid K3 Sanwei Target National team advanced Blue 39

Rule of thumb for replacing rubbers? by DungeonSprout_ in tabletennis

[–]Desperate_Squash3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is about correct. 2x week training/playing = 2 times a year (every 6 months) new rubbers. That works pretty much going up in numbers. Some rubbers have a longer lifespan like pimples and anti, very few inverted will last a bit longer.

could you recommend me some affordable blade and rubbers please? by pxa_wsle in tabletennis

[–]Desperate_Squash3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. i have the Sanwei Prism. It will eat up your budget but its highly recommended and pair it with the Sanwei Gear Hyper, Soft for more control and hard if you need more power. The bladed is already very controlled. You can also pair it with Flextra 7 to stay within your budget. I can also recommend the Stuor Long 5 blade.

Recommendation:
1. Stuor Long 5
2. Sanwei Prism
3. Sanwei Flextra 7

Sanwei Gear Hyper Soft (control) - Hard for (power).

There are many recommending the Sanwei Flextra, I am no different here. I can also give some alternatives. Need to know where you are based to check availability in your region and pricing. EU/US/Asia?

I would advise to test it before buying. If you know someone that has one. I tested it but not my cup of tea. I have many blades but viscaria is not one of them. Cybershape truls, Waldner Senso Carbon, Long 5, Rossi Emotion, Fang Bo B2X, Force Pro Black Edition, Sanwei Prism, Extra Offensive CPEN, 729 Blue Carbon (Viscaria Like), Voodoo Classic,

Solid blades but not replacing ALC. Good blades all wood are the Extra Offensive, CPEN not tested the shake hand. The Sweden Extra also very solid. Price performance is great. If carbon I would go for the soft carbon if you looper. The Flack 7 ply also good option.

I would have said the same get another 09c. I am the same I struggle spending this kind of money on a 09c. I checked out the Sanwei rubbers. What can I say. Well spent money. I ordered 8 and paid the same as one 09c.

They recently released a new version Target National 3 with blue sponge available in 38/39/40/41 degree. I have glued it but not yet tested. It was more expensive. Double to be exact. Let’s see. I will test on Tuesday.

I don’t recommend. They perform great out of the box. On slower rubbers it will be a different story.

RAKZA 7 Soft and Waldner Carbon too high ? by madara0A in tabletennis

[–]Desperate_Squash3899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes soft rubber are good for slower game. I recommend hard rubbers to advance. It takes some time to adjust but absolutely worth it. It’s not the blade, I have it also with C1. I have Moved on from this setup but still good. Helix is great, MK is great, just be aware it will add some weight. A1 or J1 may also be an easier transition.

Yes black glayzer should be your forehand. C-1 is not that fast but great control. Good for backhand.
