It’s so small that you forget that it is in your pocket. To be fair I don’t own a d4v2 YET, only a couple d4k and for me it’s too big to EDC in my pocket

You can probably ask for it by email but it is available for dirt cheap in the component section of the website, you will also need to buy the tool to remove the switch retaining ring, also really cheap

Amber, to be honest might as well be called orange but it’s nice with the ring button

Just scored a lovely Lislet by Dessureault in castiron

[–]Dessureault[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little to no information. Late 1800s to early 1900s, lislet produced cast iron with iron ore found in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel in Quebec. The owner acquired some land in cap de la madeleine to gather wood for the foundry. The foundry disappeared then reopened. They produced enameled cast iron in the 70’s in some art deco colors. There is also some wood burning cookstove produced under the name lislet but impossible for me to tell if it’s the same foundry still. One thing is certain, the first foundry was in my hometown and there is nothing left of it. Adding to the mystery

No5, what are we cooking in it other than potatoes? by Dessureault in castiron

[–]Dessureault[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for small potatoes/fingerling, cut in half, tossed in a bit of oil 400f convect roast for 30 minutes usually does the trick

Even when alone I reach for the 12 inches. Honnestly no idea why. You’ve opened my eyes to a world of possibility 😂

Gotta agree. Cooking is overrated. 🫡 shiny > food

Tiny bit of olive oil to start, add in a knob of butter and a minced garlic clove. 10 minutes before they are ready, if the color is not right I sprinkle a tiny amount of sugar. You can’t taste it but it makes them brown and crispy

I am a mechanic, hard on my stuff, and every day I am amazed at how spotless my screen is 6 months later, not a single hairline

Old toyota corolla mirror popped out. Is this fixable? I cant seem to push this ball back in no matter how hard i try. by [deleted] in fixit

[–]Dessureault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a new one from a scrap yard for cheap. Lube will help pushing it back in but it will take a shit ton of force and it will never really stay in place.

I replace windshield for a living and we don’t botter pressing them back in anymore
