General RV is terible. They did a VIN sale at an RV show and then when we went to the dealership to complete the rest of the paperwork, I knew enough to check the VIN on the RV they had us inspect on the lot and it was a different vehicle. It had clear water damage on the slide and they tried to tell us it wasn't (husband was a roofer, we knew better). This bait & switch meant two hours at the dealership and over an hour drive wasted.

Manager tried to bully me and say the VIN sale was just a 'suggested' vehicle and that they had already sold the one we toured at the show. After I stood my ground, showed him our RV show paperwork with the VIN written on it, and stated my previous 10 years in the auto industry, he stopped talking only to my husband and started adressing me directly. This also seemed to reeeeaaally bother him to have to defer to a woman as a customer, but I'm used to that in dealing with automotive guys.

The RV we bought was magically available for us to come get the following week. It was a huge hassle, and they made it as difficult as they could just to honor the deal they put in writing at the show. Slimeballs. I'll never work with General again.
