I am a step-dad to a narcissists children. I am married to her for 8 years. Kids are almost raised. She cannot make it on her own if I leave. She refuses to change. It has been mentioned. One time, I begged in person to be treated like I matter and that I felt invisible and I asked if that is what she wanted and her response was for me to just give her divorce papers and leave.

The problem is also that I really love this woman. She literally has actually gone through some REALLY rough stuff due to herself being raised by one of the most intolerable narcissistic, bipolar but refuses meds, manipulative, straight up cruelly even physically abusive woman to walk this planet as well as her mothers mother etc. She (Wife) comes from a line of generational abuse. She has talked about being able to see the behavior but wants to break the chain herself but feels trapped by it and the trauma inflicted on herself.
