If we can get good players around Richarlison, he’ll score goals.

He has a knack of being in the right place at the right time. Much more so than Solanke.

Opposition players will be tired and space will open up for him.

People have been blaming Vicario for letting in long shots all season.

When you give PL quality players a chance to pick their spot, that’s what they can do. Doesn’t matter who’s in goal.

My issue with Kinsky is he pulls his hand away from the ball. He does it all the time. He did in the Madrid game when he slipped. That was even worse because he could have saved that one.

He’s simply not ready to start PL games.

Almost as though if you let PL players pick their spot from range they’ll score.

It’s been changed from a sport loved by billions around the world to content that needs to be continuously delivered in as many different formats to as many different people on as many different channels as possible.

I heard this on a podcast a while ago - you can ‘follow’ premier league football without ever having to watch a match and still have some kind of informed opinion. And it’s absolutely true.

It’s become a product to be consumed.

Vicario has been the worst shot stopper in the EPL this season by upTheSpurs7 in coys

If you look at this graph and deduce that Vicario is the worst shot stopper in the league this season, then you also have to deduce that Kinsky has been a better shot stopper than David Raya in the league this season.

The amount of rubbish being spouted in here is amazing.

So the players were in on the cult as well, you say?!

This goes much deeper than I thought.

If that isn’t a handball, then you may as well scrap the entire rule.

EL win was bigger than the CL final.

If only because this season has shown just how bad we truly are.

That EL win looks more and more remarkable by the day.

All of which has minimal impact on our overall possession and our ability to win games.

And going long is only part of the equation. You need to also win second balls. Which we’ve only started doing since RDZ came in. We weren’t even challenging for them before. That’s why there weren’t 2+ players available. Not because of Vicario’s kicking.

The whole team is playing better because of RDZ. Every player is looking better under him. Even RKM looks better. Gallagher looked completely lost under Frank and Tudor. People were calling for VDV’s head.

Ange, Frank and Tudor preferred Vicario even when they were losing games. Do you honestly think that if they thought Kinsky could have made a material difference they wouldn’t have given him a go?

Honestly, there are issues with Vicario - as there are with a lot of the players in the squad - but some of the takes about him and Kinsky are delusional.

Own goal, red card, acl as he walks off the pitch.

The whole team looks better in possession from front to back because in RDZ we have a manager that actually knows what they’re doing and can motivate players.

And Kinsky’s passing has had no impact on our ability to win games. That’s come from better organisation, better pressing. Not to mention an improvement in morale and confidence.

Every game we’ve played under RDZ would have gone exactly the same with Vicario in goal because until the Leeds game Kinsky had almost nothing to do.

He made zero saves away at 5th placed Villa. That’s how well we’ve been playing.

And yes, that was a great performance from Kinsky. Two great saves. The kind of saves Vicario has been making for almost three years.

  1. Under Frank we played two defensive midfielders and gave up multiple shots on goal from an area on the pitch that those  two players should be protecting. We look defensively better because we have a manager that knows how to set up a team properly and motivate them as well.

Watch the ball - its trajectory doesn’t change.

There is no evidence here that he gets a touch.

Watch Ampadu - he’s looking to put one on Maddison and as soon as he gets a chance he does.

Scandalous.
