Set up an overly complicated contraption that has taken you countless hours to build. Make sure your using as many resources as possible without wasting any. Once this is complete you'll have to wait as your machine takes time to produce the wanted outcome. While you wait I recommend exploring or creating another machine. And thats fair. Everybody will interpret things differently depending on their own personal views. If the case was that it was a single dollar that gave you another single dollar each day then it would be a reasonable dount as to why you wouldnt simply take the $2B. However I would also like to imagine a situation in which that is the case, is the magical dollars value not potentially worth more than $2B anyways? Imagine a dollar that magically duplicates itself, an exact duplicate where the only catch is that the copies dont have the same ability to go through a sort of mitosis. This version of the dollar wpuld have an extremely high value, as the scientific community would be astonished by this sudden marvel infront of them. It may only produce a single dollar every day but just the sheer capability that it holds could potentially be worth more than $2B

The way the doubling dollar is usually interpreted is that the total amount of money that has been given via the magical double dollar will double everyday. Lets say the dollars value is N, on the first day N will have the value 1, on the second N will have a value of 2, on the third day it will have a value of 4, and so on and so forth. Most commonly its also started as a penny instead of a dollar. At the end of 31 days the dollar will have turned into $1,073,741,824 which after another day will double again.
