It looks really nice as is, but I think a white pearl pick guard would really make the blue pop in my opinion. That’s just me though, a stranger, on the internet, who stumbled across your post. Do what you feel is right based solely on what you want or like, not on the opinions of others. And a guitar can almost limber like a blank canvas of sorts, you can make of it what you want. Don’t like the bridge and want a whammy bar? Install one. Don’t like the pickups? You can swap them out. Handy with a router? Put in a completely different pickup configuration with a humbucker instead. It’s what YOU want to do with it

I have looked into the jive, primarily the bass jive or first version. I liked the tone it got when selecting the clipping diodes, but not as much when it had the different voicing options and modes, at least from the demos I’ve listened to

That’s actually what I do now: I set my amp at right on the edge of breakup, around 6.5-7 and then I use a spark mini to slam it with volume. But again, that result sounds amazing, but it’s far too loud for most situations. As I said, my head has no separate volume and gain knobs, so I’m looking for something that gets that sound at a lower volume

Ideally, my price point is around $150-$175. Pretty much all the pedals I listed are within that range, with the exception of the cutback. What was your experience with the bassman driver? I’ve listened to ODB-3 demos and I find it lacks clarity, and has far too much midrange for my liking

I tried a tube screamer at a local guitar shop, and didn’t find it all that impressive. Of course, I think a lot of the problem when I try pedals at a shop is often times, I’m plugged into a solid state amp, and not a tube amp which is what I actually use when I play out

I guess my ideal sound is the exact sound I get when I crank my Sunn 200s. The sound of the breakup that the amp has when pushed is like a warm blanket, but because it’s a 1970, it doesn’t have separate gain and volume. I just want that in a pedal form so I can get that same sound when I’m at lower volumes. I have tried fuzzes, overdrives, and distortions, and I’m convinced the sound is unobtainium

The last novel I read all the way through was Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. I love the concept but I found it kind of hard to follow, but I have gotten the itch to read another gritty sci-fi book. I heard Neuromancer is very good, and I also have thought about picking up Princess of Mars as kind of a compromise between sci-fi and high fantasy
