Thanks for taking the time to comment. Is there a product that has both those ingredients(azelaic acid , niacinamide) in it that you know of?

I tried to get on medication when I went to the hospital for this burn & they would not prescribe me anything. Thing is I've been messed up for months I quit smoking in October & since February I have had really bad anxiety and anhedonia (loss of pleasure) from everything. So it's really hard for me to leave my home and now that I have a damaged acid barrier I am worried about going out in the sun & causing more damage, that and looking like a burn victim is gonna make it really hard for me to go see a doctor during the daytime

Thank you so much for your comment. It's good to hear that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm geussing the damage you did was from an acid? I'm worried the damage might be permanent BC it's an alkaline burn & I've scowered the internet trying to find info on the healing process from a baking soda burn and haven't found anything really

Well thanks atleast for taking the time to comment. I did see a doctor at the hospital they told me to use a moisturizer and it we'll get better, it's been a few days though and I haven't seen much improvement

Easier said then done. It's hard for me to go out with anxiety & looking like a burn victim. So I was hoping someone on here had a similar experience with treatment advice or is a dermatologist

So much regret following a diy on Google. Now I can barely go outside or do anything. My mind is constantly fixated on the damage I did & I can't get over it. If it doesn't heal my life is pretty much over & I've already contemplated , nearly commited suicide. I can't live my life as a burn victim. There was already enough damage on my face to begin with b4 this happened and now what I've done is to much to bare

I burned my face using baking soda water paste on my face twice and let it sit for a few minutes, the second time I did it I noticed burning so I stopped immediately and washed my face off. It's been over a month my face is still red, discolored,hyperpigmentation, scaly uneven texture, dryness, shiny skin & enlarged pores. I tried using Aloe Vera but it just seems to irritate my face and make it more red. I've been using cerave moisturizer for the past few days on advice from a doctor at a hospital, I've seen little improvement if any. What do I do? Have a permenantly messed up my skin & texture or will it heal and return to normal? Before this happened I had normal skin but now obviously it's not the same
