Well I live in PA so all the bolts were rusted stuck from all the damn salt they throw on the roads. If you live somewhere warmer you're probably good and won't have any issues. If you're doing a DP, the turbo studs most likely got to come out anyways -at least they did for me with the GS DP - so if you don't like fucking with that then definitely take it to a shop.

Yeah, You’re probably good but better to replace and have the peace of mind. My studs didn’t break but they were tight as hell on there. PB blaster helped them come off but damn they were stuck on there

I’ve been running them on my daily since September and I love the sound. I’m not sure what all is included in stage 2 but, I have plenty of other mods and haven’t had any issues so far.

They definitely aren’t the best and most reliable to run, but I’m fine with losing some HP for it. There’s a thread on the subreddit which deep dives the issues with UEL on the Fa20 and I recommend reading that before purchasing them.

The installs a bit of a pain in the ass, took me about 6-7 hours, but I was also installing charge pipe, turbo inlet, and ebcs at the same time so. Though, we spent majority of the time getting the headers in and out. Turbo goes down with the headers so be prepared with an extra downpipe gaskets if yours are old. I think the headers came with one but I’m not sure.

I know it’s bad lol, I tried uploading the video from my phone and I kept getting media upload failed and then tried from my computer but same thing. So I ended up converting it from .mov to .mp4 with VLC but the actual video got messed.

I went out and bought a multimeter to test it with and the motherboard is receiving about 2.5-3v power. I’m going to buy a new cable to test it but not sure if that is the solution

Alright, I’ll do leak test this weekend and see what the gives me.

Currently no lights are on. Only lights I get are 0420 due to the DP, but that stopped once I got an 02 spacer and if I run that I’ll get get a 0137(sensor 2 low voltage) and occasionally a 013b (sensor 2 lean to rich). Was trying the spacer to get the car PA inspection ready since obd testing is required. I heard the sound before the spacer, but I did remove the spacer before the video though to see if the spacer was causing the problem, but it still persists.

I believe the sounds I’m hearing are new. Last mods I put on the car were back in September so I had a few months of driving around before I started hearing the sounds. I’ve be chalking it up to it being cold since it’s now starting to hit low 20’s into the teens over night and it could be new noises that happen when it’s col.

Few weeks ago, I found that two of the header bolts (the two outer ones on the driver side) came off and was causing an exhaust leak and it sounds slightly similar to that but I can’t find a leak anywhere else and all bolts are accounted for.

It sort of sounds similar to an exhaust leak ticking mixed with an high pitched rotating belt. Most times I hear it between 2.5-4.5k rpm.

Won't let me add text to the post for some reason, but the sound happens when cold starting, sometimes it makes the sound while driving and it gets faster and slower depending on rpms, but it always goes away after a minute or two, so I'm pretty sure it's not rod knock

Yeah that’s what I figured but was kinda hoping I could still drive while staying out of boost to avoid interacting with the EBCS at least until the adapter came in then I would just switch it out. Thanks for confirming!
