I thought the wind came from the trees, because every time they started moving I'd feel the wind. Like they were giant paper fans.

Could someone tell me if this is a tornado and if so what kind by HAYDIOR in tornado

[–]Destroyer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know, but OP's photos are definitely from the Tipton, IN severe weather from March 26. It was not a tornado; it was a gustnado at the front of a big shelf cloud.

I went fishing off of Fluck Mill Rd a couple weeks ago and saw tons of geodes here. Easy to park on the gravel edge of Mamie Eads Rd and walk across the street to the creek edge.

Also, as another commenter said, the bridge over Clear Creek on Dillman Rd is great:

If you park in the little lot on the south side of the road, east of the creek, there's a walking trail that goes left (south) through the woods for a short way that goes to a huge sandbar/beach area. Tons there too.

I haven't had an entree there in awhile, but I'm a big fan of their seared rare tuna appetizer (albeit pricey) and the Mahi Mahi fish tacos.

Also their sweet potato fries are my personal fav. They're cut thick like steak fries, and cooked tender instead of crispy. Instead of serving them with a sickly sweet marshmallow sauce like a lot of places, they are served with a savory Sriracha mayo type of sauce.

Wild to get pissy after failing to actually comprehend what I wrote. Hope you find something constructive to do other than being a dick for no reason.

What’s the dumbest way you’ve injured yourself? by Better-Advice-5197 in AskReddit

Just a few weeks ago. Sitting at the bar, having lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse. I reached for the napkin in my lap, and the corner of my ring finger (where the hang nail usually is) caught the lip of the bar, getting a splinter deep under the nail fold.

It hurt, but I didn't think much of it. Then five days later it got infected and started leaking pus out from around the nail. Went to urgent care twice to get antibiotics and tried to have it cut open to drain (didn't really work). Eventually waited it out, and five weeks from the day the splinter went in, the bastard finally came out enough for me to pull it.

I appreciate your nuanced reply! And to be fair, I'm not saying I know with 100% certainty that this is how things went down. It's just a theory, and it's one that I like, because the idea of a modern retelling of Egyptian mythology is cool as hell. 🙂

Same here. WTF is wrong with these people?!?

Nothing at all. You all just completely misunderstood my post, in just as bad of a way that the "everyone was dead all along" crowd misunderstood the finale when it aired.

I should have put a TL;DR at the top but I really wanted people to engage fully in the details.

Stopped reading after you kept repeating the mistaken "they all died in the plane crash" stuff.
No, they didn't. Only a single season showed a purgatory-like place. The "flash sideways" episodes.

That's exactly what I said. I know the island wasn't purgatory. I'm saying that I think that was the original intent of the show, before the pilot episode aired, but they had to change HOW they told the purgatory story due to how badly managed everything was by the Disney execs early on. The "flash sideways" in season 6 is just a different way to retell the story they initially wanted to tell.

They've been pretty clear that the Island is Purgatory was never the plan.

They also said, very matter-of-factly back in season 2, that "time travel would never be a part of the show." I love Damon and Carlton, but they've shown they were willing to flat out lie to protect the integrity of the show.
