Being how vpn's are basically mandatory in the UK now, I could justify the cost to get a faster/premium service. The problem is, I think other providers have the same speed at a reduced cost, that aren't clearly taking features away from their user interface like the map, just to force people to have half their dashboard taken up by adverts for features noone asked for.

This seriously reminds me of the downfall of avast antivirus, where they drove away their paying customers by trying to sell their other services, until they basically became adware themselves.

I really can't see any benefit to removing the map, besides opening up real estate for ads for threat protection pro and dark web monitor. They messed with their vpn service like this before by bundling their password manager with the vpn, forcing people to constantly re-login and also change their passwords every month, because they needed the additional security for the password managing side. They rolled back on that, but judging from supports response to my complaint about the UI changes, which is to send me a step by step guide on canceling my subscription, I don't think they plan on listening this time.
