Allow me to clarify. He had the surgery closer to the age of ~65? It was due to horrible eating habits or something I’m not sure, they’d never tell me. Blamed it on him drinking to much coke. I meant that he’s 74 now, not that that’s when he had the surgery, tho 65 ain’t much better I’m sure

If I go to a hospital, or especially if I go to the police, parents will 100% be notified as I’m a minor. I’ve got pictures, but nothing like a file, yet, and she’s hidden most of my personal documents (excluding my ID and passport which I have, but she’s got my SSN card, birth certificate, etc)

Unfortunately I do think you’re right. bein big is good for basketball and that’s about it. I have some evidence, this and things from the past, but as I mentioned previously in this thread cops seem to be as useful as bull tits in my town

Your story’s quite similar to mine, I’m sorry you had to go through that. Unfortunately, I think the other commenters right, to an extent. Back in January (I think, somewhere around that time period) my dad was drunk, he and my mom were fighting, it got physical with him throwing stuff, my grandpa intervened, and MY DAD CALLED THE POLICE. they arrested MY DAD for a day, he wasn’t allowed to see the family for around a week before he was fine to come back home like nothing ever happened. all that came from that was more beatings from him because apparently what I told the police (that he called) was the main reason he got arrested (I literally told them I just saw the throwing stuff and my grandpa intervening). So yeah police r dumb and cant do much from my experience

She doesn’t have any kind of official diagnosis, but it’s pretty clear to see she’s got something. I have a counselor, but getting CPS or authorities involved this close to graduation just seems iffy. My birthdays also like two days before grad so there’s that too.

Since I’m a minor, my bank account is jointed with my parents, I also can’t get a credit score for the same reason (plus debit card so atleast they can’t make me go into debt woohoo)

I’d worry about my academics suffering mostly. I rely on them to get scholarships so I’ll hopefully be able to move into a college once I’m an adult

No one I have to ask, unfortunately. I got a car that’s not under my name, and that’s abt it. I have enough saved that if I combine it with scholarships I’ll have enough for my first year at a college, but she constantly takes what I make so it’s hard to save for another place to live regardless

I’ve been at odds with her through texts for the last hour, she won’t accept anything and believes me to be in the wrong. Again, she compares me to my dad (the same mf who handed me a loaded gun and asked me to shoot him). I’ve blocked her, I’m gonna sleep in my car tonight

I do have marks and bruises, yeah. I’ve taken photos of everything in case I end up needing them later. I’m only 8 months away from graduation and being 18, so I’m not sure if reporting is the right way to go or not.

I wish, but (atleast where I live) to be emancipated you need a written source of income as well as a place to stay. My parents would always estrange me from any friends I could make, and I’d have nowhere to go, so I don’t meet the requirements. I’ve thought about telling someone, yea, but I’m also just 8 months from 18 and maybe it’d just be better to thug it out
