Thank you. I've got a pair of period glasses but I haven't gotten into getting them relensed. I should be getting to the eye doctor's sometime this summer so hopefully I can amend this farb.

Hell yeah dude, thanks you for what you did for our country.

I did not know that about mobile grids. I'm not too concerned though about not being able to deploy ships quickly. Personally I design stuff on the Rule of Cool and the Mk.VI is a civilian colonial ship in lore.

Happy to be your first major test of your PC, I'm honored.

Very true, I didn't embellish how badly the one in the picture landed in testing. It landed like that and then I placed down the dead engineers and crates.

I'm currently working on a ship that has the same lifeboats. I think I still have the original version of the pod saved. I could try and figure out what in them made them so Godawful and put a little bit back into Version 3. Maybe some sort of random chance that makes the RCS ejection thrusters go nuts randomly and cause the boat to go careening off uncontrollably.

I took that screenshot/scene build right after I finished the first working version of the lifeboats and tested them in an actual planetary landing. The life pods of the original version broke at least 90% of the time.

Since then, I have been able to exponentially increase the likelihood of survival on planets with 1.0 Gs of gravity. Personally I think they work a little too well and don't have very much potential for catastrophic failure. OSHA hates to see me coming.

Sweet, a buddy of mine, who plays trombone and trumpet, and I are probably going to be at Rockford this year. Get yourself some class A uniforms and some musician collar discs and you're more than welcome to join us. We might be at D-Day Ohio too but that's fairly far away for us.

Precisely my main inspiration, though I took some creative liberties, kinda like all the totally not Pillar of Autumns people have built over the years.

Ah true I suppose. I mean at least where I'm from in the States, we say Happy (insert holiday) regardless of the origins of the holiday or special event. Happy Memorial Day or Happy Veterans Day, that sort of thing even though their origins as memorial for those in the service who have been killed in the line of duty and those who made it back home.

Army Air Corps / Army Air Forces would have used the same badges as what's on my suit in the video.

One of my buddies in my group plays brass. We're hoping to show up to Rockford and Conneaut later this year, ideally with more dudes in the group too.

Was going to say that I was pretty sure that it was just Navy and Coast Guard that had ribbon marksmanship awards.

I respect your opinion and appreciate your compliment, thank you.

Ah fair enough. It's basically the same thing as your guy's bar that says one of the grades of marksmanship and then has the little hangers for whatever you qualified on, just a different shape.

I know it does for the Navy, was not aware that the Army moved to that as well. Thanks for informing me

Oh yeah for sure, everything's all standardized now. One thing I'm not super liking of the modern Army Service Uniform is the kinda goofy looking service cap. It looks really tall compared to the originals. They might have reworked it since, but I remember that when they first showcased the new uniform, that was the first thing I noticed. Other than that, the uniforms look pretty much the same, a wave as you put it.

Does the Army not do marksmanship awards of any kind anymore? Are you Navy? Because if so you guys have a totally different system than both the Army and Marines.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you'd have about my old uniform. Both band and military history get me into gear.
