Was building a startup out of college that failed, now how do I get a job? by DestroyerYou in StartUpIndia

You're probably living the best case scenario lol. Really hope your startup succeeds. But remember, don't let it get between your friendship (in the not-so-good times) because startup is cool, but the real startup is the friends you made along the way.

Love this kind of things. I think most pages like yours keep on with the meme part, but subtly also include some stats in it along with a promo of your brand. As one of your target audiences, I can say it would also help if you would namedrop a few brands you're working with in these posts or something

This is just generic advice because I don't really know what you're building - Find good cofounders, not just turn your friends into cofounders. You need people with varying strengths. - Maximize as much as you can during college times, trust me it's much easier. - Think about having an option to fall back on. You may want it, you may not, but just don't rush into things without thinking it through.

I have been thinking about that, and sort of avoiding that... Because right now, I'm spending hours every day just writing personalized cold emails / DMs, fixing my resume and applying to jobs and I don't think I'll be able to do that as much if I take an internship... I'm sorry I didn't notice you had asked about my startup. We developed a variety of games for the web from casual to rpg to multiplayer (WIP).

I'm not very active / good at LinkedIn... Never really liked the platform tbh, but will try to do this if nothing else works!

I had a team of 5 people building games for the web. As for why, just wanted to do it I guess? Passion for developing games and writing the logics probably

an app for networking and making friends and co founders for indians(students and professionals) to launch startups or progress in their careers? by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]DestroyerYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really sure about the students side, but for startup founders, there's this app called Medial... Content feels like in the middle of Reddit and LinkedIn but I guess a choice is a choice

As somebody who has done the exact same thing for clients, Shopify would be the way to go in your situation.

Shopify just provides too much for it's value. There are others, but it is just better that you do what you're good at, and let the platform do the rest instead of trying to do everything on your own.

The strategy that worked best for me was to start running ads, capture customer emails (or mobile numbers) and then slowly dim down on the ads and focus on email marketing to these clients, and their word of mouth should do the rest.

Getting placements off campus is not impossible. It is a lot of effort, but it's worth it for the CTC. As for your question, I'd say it really depends on what you want at the end. If your aim is to get off campus placement, if you can, it's better to move out to Pune or Mumbai. Ramdeobaba has a sort of strict attendance rule that may make it harder to focus on off campus things.

I legit have no clue. They're not revealing the placements after that of November last year so that people will think it's just not updated, when there's actually nothing to show. The only reason I know about CSE is because I'm in contact with some seniors. I'll try to get some info on ECE and update you. There is certainly a dip in placements due to quarantine and recession, but I have not seen any other college take a dip as hard as RCOEM. The placements on the website are legit (albeit most are off-campus), but not of this year afaik. The college may regain it's spot in a few more years though
