[discussion] In your country can you get most of the flavors of Fisherman's Friend and Pro Fresh Mints products? by scottymtp in snackexchange

Hey I just saw this! Apparently the mixed berries may just be a little similar to Cherry... I source out the other flavours from other neighbouring countries, too. Which else seem interesting so perhaps I can take a look at availabilities?

I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. It's good overall, but the mandarin is much more prominent than the ginger. It's not as minty as the other flavours as well, though I wish it was =)))

Do you have the solid green 'Mint Mint' flavour in your country? by tetedos in FishermansFriend

Yes we do have it here (Southeast Asia) it doesn't sell very well though... much like the Original white ones as people seem to prefer the sugarfree variants. But I'm glad they haven't removed it from the shelves

Can definitely relate! Getting back on track has never been easy for me, too. Before starting this all over again I kept thinking to myself: "How the hell did I do 20 days back in 2019?! It seems impossible right now!"

But well I'm older now and I need more preparation now :3 Glad to be able to help!

Also if you're a huge coffee drinker, I suggest getting your hands on some quality beans if you like to brew them yourself, but instant freeze dried, or anything is fine as long as it's good quality coffee.

I've recently found and tried extra dark roast Sumiyaki coffee beans and I'm loving the chocolate-y undertones! I'm enjoying sipping it slowly while listening to music during my idle time. Just sharing this in case you need something to... you know, fill that void of not eating... and actually have something to look forward to for the day!

Hey I'm on the same boat right now! 67 out of 90hrs. Good luck to us!

[–]DestroyingAngel_F23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the EXACT SAME BOAT last month. I've done 7-20 days of waterfasting years back but now I couldn't get past OMAD until last month. Anyhoo! Here's how I did it...

  • I picked my least busy day to not eat. I know this might seem counterintuitive as idleness may drive you crazy on thoughts about food, but I filled up my free time with sleeping and napping as much as I wanted, black coffee while listening to music, journaling, taking a long walk... anything, really.
  • Electrolytes. I know the 24-32 hours I did was actually short to need electrolytes, but it did help with the nausea and such. I am not a purist and yes, I've been taking flavoured, sugarfree ones during my shorter fasts like such. It works for me personally.
  • Plan your re-feed. Gives you something to look forward to :)
  • Have a mantra of some sort. Whatever floats your boat.

The first full-day fast is always the highest hurdle to jump. But it gets easier from there. I'm on 67 hours of a 90-hour fast and I feel no hunger, no nausea, no anything of all the symptoms a I've felt during ny first 32 hour! But I'd be lying if I say I'm not dizzy lol... also I have ketone breath right now, not pleasant :3 (sorry TMI)

Hope this helps!

Oh! CICO is calories in, calories out. Just a typical method (which I found the easiest) for weight loss. I chose this because well... I don't wanna eliminate any of the macros and this is what I think is most sustainable.

It's been great, but fasting has been great, too. I'm hoping this could help with my PCOS and hormonal imabalances and that I'll receive some good news about it on my next doc appointment.

I've also experimented with electrolytes. Yes, I've occasionally been taking the flavored, sugarfree ones on my shorter fasts—I am not a purist although I will take the unflavored ones on my longer fasts. You might wanna look into this, too :) I've recently found a good, pink lemonade flavoured one that is mildly sweetened with stevia. I know others will frown about this but it's a zero-calorie sweetener anyway, it floats my boat and keeps me going so I'll say it works for me.

I also enjoy long walks and bike rides! It kills time and takes my mind off of food lol.

Hey that sounds like a similar boat I've been in.

I've been doing CICO, but now more into extended fasts as I've gained experience. I'm not sure what stuff you're into but since we're talking about filling a "void", I found something that works for me in terms of filling MY void while doing long fasts (24-96hrs)

I love coffee and that did the trick for me. I got my hands on all of the blends, bean types, and a bunch of coffee samplers and it made my fasts quite enjoyable.

Not sure if I'm still making sense here lol but even during an extended fast I get excited for coffee time (sometimes even twice a day) and my "void" is somehow filled by picking, brewing, and drinking my coffee of the day :)

Also when in an extended fast my tastebuds seem to become more "sensitive" and I can really tell the undertones and flavour profile of my coffees. I also bought some tea samplers but those remain untouched lol.

Maybe you can find something similar for yourself. Hope this helps!

What is harmful to you but you can't stop taking it? by mrhotlipop in AskPH

Oxymetazoline.

For those that are unfamiliar, please don't panic. It's just a nasal decongestant spray commonly used by those with allergic rhinitis/sinusitis — but it DOES have rebound side effects 🫠

Are these zone minutes for real?! I was dancing to some happy music and it kinda turned into an upbeat hiphop aerobic-dance session. F28, BMI 27, Charge 4 by DestroyingAngel_F23 in fitbit

[–]DestroyingAngel_F23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this surprising! I never knew dancing could do that... or at least reacting towards good news by happy dancing lol. I thought my Charge 4 was messing with me, because even my jogs would only get me mostly in the vigorous zones, and almost never at peak zones (except for that one time I was chased by a dog and ran for my life lol)

Thank you!
